How I use Crayola Washable Supertips in coloring books, part 1. Coloring butterflies.
I am coloring in Gardening watercolor
by Go Eun-jeong
Part 1 concentrates on the basics of what I do. Butterflies.
Part 2 in Ken Matsuda shows more how I color a penguin. I show a lot more examples using supertips.
Please note I have only had these pens since February 2024, and am only experimenting, this is not a proper tutorial but I do share what I have learnt over the years.
I still have much to learn about watercoloring.
My style is usually coloring light to dark and building up the color and values. Other times I put a color down and blend it out with water.
Crayola Washable Supertips are available from Amazon at a very reasonable price. I used the pastel and 100 sets.

I'm obsessed with this method atm. I've been basing every pic I've coloured with my supertips lately. So fun and relaxing. Tyfs I could watch this all day especially with your lovely background noise...it's so calming

Hi Bee! This is wonderful! i Have all the supplies for once! haha! I'm going to be using some of my little clear stamps on watercolor paper. Glad i bought archival ink....I enjoy your quiet videos. i find i can concentrate better on the process. Sometimes one just Wants Quiet🌅🌷🐦🌿

Glad I could help! I know what you mean, my waterbased pens have been hiding on the shelf for a couple of years. Just go easy with the water on some paper ;) Thanks for visiting 💕😊 - edit: I forgot to say maybe gel sticks would work in a similar way but more opaque ??? (They are also hiding on the shelf LOL)

Thank you for doing this video. Your talent is wonderful. I have Ohuhu Maui Journal Dual Brush markers (100) would they be OK for doing coloring books? I am new to all of this so this was so helpful. You have a new subscriber. Look forward to seeing more of your great videos.

Hi, welcome, thank you for visiting and your sub. I had to look up the Maui pen version, but if they are waterbased which I believe they are, they should work in a similar way :) Do try them at the back of the book first. I find the Ohuhu pens more staining so the ink does not travel as much as the washable variety (Crayola). In books be careful with the amount of water. Just have some fun with it. You can blend 2 colors by touching the 2 pen tips together as well, or just merge on a mix mat with a small brush. Thanks so much for your kind support.
