On a more realistic note, if you wanna hit plant, Jasmine to 1 honestly would probably be enough. It allows plant to exist as a deck without hurting the upcoming aroma support, but it severely impacts the deck's high end. A lot of plant pile's most powerful end boards go through 2 Jasmine, and if not, the second Jasmine is for followup. 1 Jasmine impacts both of those use cases, and forces their lines to have a lower average ceiling while also being more linear.

I agree with Little Knight. While it is strong, it is not so format warping that limiting or removing it would make much of a difference. Little Knight's biggest problem is the price tag/limited availability.

My issue with hitting Wanted is that the Decks that use the Diabellstar engine will pivot to the Populous Snake-Eye Engine post-PHNI and it still achieves the same result if not be better than the Diabellstar Engine. Wanted after that point just becomes such a Nothingburger hit when PHNI has every Deck running the Snake-Eyes Engine gain consistency while letting them make powerful plays they didn't have before

Fenrir to 1 did affect vanquish soul, because then you don't have the flexibility to add earth or fire. This is what makes fenrir good in VS.

I really like Little Knight, it makes games actually last longer than 2 turns. If you want the banish effect or if you're trying to play around it, they both cost you your battle phase. Very balanced card imo. As for the millers and shifter, they can go straight to the forbidden section

I'm not sold on the isolde ban. I feel people want it gone for its past crimes when it's actually needed in the infernoble deck and that deck isn't entirely unfair. I would be ok if it was put to 1 since it prevent people from just making a 2nd isolde in turn 2 or turn 1 for the idiots that imperm/veiler isolde on the 1st effect.

Runick needs to ban fountain, there is no reason i go against a deck that prevents me from being able to completely negate everything and nothing happens in the duel, protects its own engine being fountain, then the game is just a pass, 20 effects, i get to do nothing and my deck gets milled

Josh I love you but please stop asking for isoldes ban. Card does nothing in OCG consistently and as a longtime player of warriors people disregard the equip bricks bc they dont play the deck only against it, you draw them constantly. Isolde is a fair card that requires significant deck space for bricks while losing hard to an imperm. Hit dolphin hit armageddon hit the ftk enablers but dont make isolde pay for konami having a 22 year pool of warrior monsters. Hitting isolde is never the move unless your aim is to make warrior decks unplayable. It would get me to quit modern yugioh :(

I play a lot of Labrynth. I think hitting an of their in-archetype cards is stupid. We lose to: DUSTER ASH BELLE LIGHTNING STORM EVENLY MATCHED ANYTHING HORUS DIMENSION SHIFTER (If no furniture to chain) BYSTIALS And the Big Welcome is a fair card. Its one effect per turn and once per turn, it banishes for cost, regular welcome locks us, Arianna is one effect oer turn, etc. If they get hit, they need to hit the power traps like EEV.

Yes ive said before and people say its unneccessary but Fenrir needs to be limited so at the very least it becomes a less obvious staple as a free 0 card. Hitting it makes them most likely rid of a imperm bait and free interrupt for any 2 turns. Its too generic for its own good but if we limit it then kashtira decks can still play their combo (more vulnerable tho) but still playable w/ unlimit unicorn. Its kinda like one of those staples where theres little to no downside and everybody can play it like Pot of Greed. And if everybody can play it then it just makes games more textbook and less variety--making it stale. Same goes for MD format, then unlimit field spell.

Hitting any of the labrynth cards is a huge mistake. If you hit any of it's engine it will just devolve into floodgate fiesta which no one likes. If you want to hit labrynth you need to hit d-barrier and viruses, which are the only cards that makes labrynth steal games and feel awful

The real 2 head take is complaining about a diverse format.

Ban all lingering effects. Runick fountain and prosperity to 1. Also, Joshua says: you cannot make an argument about runick. Fountain let's you draw 3 cards in best scenario (no other cards let you do that), the effect is super easy to trigger on both YOUR turn, and YOUR OPPONENT turn. But, most of all, the effect to put back quick spells and draw is soft once per turn, so if you have 2 fountain you can draw 4 to 6 cards. Finally, the Runick engine is very very splashable in a lot of strategies. Tell me these are not arguments.

The argument for Calamity is really weak. It's the same as saying VFD should have stayed legal because it kept VW viable. If it needs a degenerate car to be viable, it shouldnt have it at all.

Don't touch Isolde, you murder infernoble. In reality the true problem card is Dolphin in infernoble because you can rip or force your opponent to stop Connector before Isolde. If Dolphin is gone, Isolde becomes a serious choke point

This banlist is based. Though hot take, I feel limiting purrely street and noir to 1 would be a more interesting way to hit purrely. Doesn’t remove consistency however it removes some of its protection and with only 1 noir makes the grind game much harder.

I think the people complaining about diverse formats need to understand that 1-3 formats are not inherently better or healthier for the game just because you believe it requires less thinking to prepare for. People will always play rogue and people will always lose to random rouge regardless of the format and that has almost always been in the nature of the game. Like if you genuinely believe that random rougue/tier 2 decks are what’s stopping you from being a top tier player, or winning your event then there’s a problem in how you’re approaching the game and there’s something you need to improve at. There’s just so many reason why diverse formats are better for the health of the game it’s too many to list on this one comment.

The next banlist should be extremely minimalistic and more of an unban-list. Format is fine, let newer decks/support powercreep the format before doing a big banlist.

Banning Isolde just feels wrong. While Mikanko and Infernoble should be adressed banning Isolde just fucking murders both decks. I‘d say banning Acid Golem/Transverser is a better Hit to Mikanko and banning Phoenix Blade and hitting Connector should tune down Infernoble decently well

Limiting sharvara completely kills the deck. Prosperity hit already does way too much to hurt the deck already but it prosperity needs to be hit. Limiting tour guide or even hitting the extra deck monsters with a limit or semi would be better.

Yea Sharvara to 1 kills the deck. Abom Prison to 1 with pot to 1 will be fair. But Unchained was a surprise for konami and they arent going to support it or sell anything because of it. I dont want it to happen but thats why i believe they will limit Sharvara theres nothing for konami to gain from it still being a meta deck.

transaction rollback is more of a brick if you draw w/o furniture cards..idk if you played labs recently but hitting big welcome w/o max cc like in ocg format will make the deck virtually UNPLAYABLE...

I feel like your Rescue ace and labrynth hits are a lot softer than the purrely, tear and unchained ones. For example I think limiting sleepy is too much of a hit, while limiting my friend would be a significant hit that wouldn't modify that much the playstyle. With those hits I think labrynth would be by far the best deck

The only problem in vanquish soul if fenrir goes to 1 is that you can't search an earth with fenrir if you need that and that if you search rise-heart you can't use his effect (if you need to go BIG EYE) unless you play a wider kashtira package but would still be strong with wraithsoth

Runick's only not topping because it's not being represented. people don't like it in the TCG. it's also very difficult compared to other t1 strats. definitely needs to go as it punishes good deckbuilding, deck out is a frustrating win con, and it offers too much consistency.

Sharvara to 1 is too much. No reason to kill the deck. Tour guide to 1 and prosperity 1/2 is enough. Also don't want to kill purrely, put sleepy to one is over, just limit or ban the street together with prosperity 1/2 may be enough. The hits need to be on super combo and very old decks. That means: Isolde, Agido, Kelbek, Jasmine, Branded fusion, Calamity, terraforming(too many broken field spells) and Baronne (yeah it's time) Then you go to some floodgates: anti-spell, shifter and skill drain. Then you need to remember about the transaction rollback: virus, shinarui trap, Beatrice. That's about bans, then we need to go about rescue ace and fire king being too strong. Emergency is very easy, but is not even close to being enough, that deck is consistent and so powerful with the link 3 princess that i think we need harder measures. The only thing i can think of is emergency at one, and take out the link climbing, that is, linkuriboh, i:p, sunlight wolf, fire charmer and/or mudragon, take two of these cards. On fire king is harder because it is too damn new. It's kind of the same generic cyberse link climbing with linkuriboh, just add that the Zealantis otk is scary as hell. That's what i think, it's a reset banlist. Would be unchained, fire king, rescue ace and labrynth. And please, enough of dragon link. Just ban the striker dragon, have the quick launch at one and lub at one. Bring back Drindent, (not the barrage please) Red reboot, Harp and psy-gamma at 3 (just ban the fuckin omega and the accel synchron, no one is using those garbages, we strong hts like gamma).

I'm not seeing the issue with this format. I'd rather have a diverse format instead of another "meta" format where you have 1 or 2 dominant decks just running everywhere.

the problem banning gimmeck puppet is that there are 5 to 6 other cards in the game that just have the same effect as gimmick puppet just a little incovenience for the branded players so if sonething needs to be done is to ban the card that summons the lock
