Viriatvs of Lvsitania Yeah, first time viewer - sub’d. 😲👍😁🙏🏻🍻 However, maybe try to let the guests finish their explanation before interrupting them so often - hard to watch / hard to follow / annoying AF. Perhaps 1 less energy drink B4 recording? (Speaking as someone who needs to self-regulate my caffeine intake so as not to sound like the squirrel from Hoodwinked)

Hey I love the vids but the cuts to the long shot rlly takes away from the experience. If it could be kept it one main camera and the secondary camera could just be closeups that would be nice. Such a wide angle shot that is cut to so quickly is hard to follow

The build is consequently understated and clean. For me adding the rear spoiler contrasts and detracts from the builds quiet but impressive and significant custom details, and this truck’s simple and unobtrusive elegance, by adding something unnecessary, large and brash. It‘s just right as it is now. An absolute delight! 💫

Wow! I can feel and see the love and no expense was spared. At 2,000 hours in house labor only I can see this machine must have cost nearly 1/2 mil when you add up all the parts. It must be great being an artist like this and having enough people out there with the pocket book to fund these projects. Thanks to TheHoonigans for giving us a nice look into these works of art.
@Brosef83
@Brosef83 6 жыл бұрын
Dude I was thinking the same thing. He said 2200 hours and i was like ok, what is the labor rate, $175? Thats over $300K just for labor not to mention all the parts. That thing is rad but half a mill for it is insane. I suppose if i was just filthy rich i'd rather have this than a Lambo or a Ferrari or something, but still. Crazy.

I know you can still find them, the key is finding one relatively close without an astronomical price tag LOL. I'm in no hurry so I'll look until I find exactly what I want and where I want LOL. There was one in town a few years back I have been kicking myself for not buying, price seemed kind of high at $8500 but it was the original owner who obviously kept it in a garage all the time and hardly ever drove it, it was an 88 and if I recall had 75,000 original miles on it, looked brand new inside and out and completely stock and he had all the service records on it. Should have bought it I guess LOL.

What I like is that the head of ICON talks about and shows what they come up with as solutions to past problems on builds. The special offshore anti-rust coating, to work even potentially after some rock scrapes. The V-band exhaust clamps because the trick flanged exhaust system liked to blow out the gaskets. You get the idea that ICON's process is constantly being refined to work better in the real world. I think the Derelict philosophy is more interesting than the "finished" cars, just because it's a celebration of raw technology of various levels, blended together. I liken it to a classic aircraft or boat that is rebuilt with the best new running gear and electronics, but still looks like an original.

@republicansareoffendedeasi821
@republicansareoffendedeasi821 6 жыл бұрын
Jake Browne I'm guessing you're one of those people that think fuel injection gets better gas mileage then a carburetor it doesn't. And I guess you think fuel injection is more reliable than a cast iron carbureted engine it's not. My 1978 Ford Granada 250 straight 6 has never broken down on me except for one time the fuel pump died in my driveway I called AutoZone five minutes later I went to pick it up. And LS are not reliable the reason they're so popular because there cheap and when something does fuck up on it you can get parts anywhere most likely from Walmart that's why people like them and they're stupid. Have fun with your ls when I put a 300 straight 6 in my Grenada I'll be having fun pulling Chevy's out of the ditch with it I can do that with the 250 but having a 300 in there just be a lot easier and I have done it with the 250.
@rustedratchetgarage6788
@rustedratchetgarage6788 6 жыл бұрын
John Sears no im not one of those people im an ASE tech and shop owner i know the ls has downfalls but every engine does thats why we modify them 300 inline 6 is a stump killer i like those too but guess what Ford made an efi 300 and it was better than the carbed one for the simple fact it had a better intake port setup for the efi manifold and the things were stout i always wanted a early 60s ranchero or falcon with one swapped in

Too much weight,seriously I love Cummins but 1200 pounds isnt for every car/truck.

I literally bought a 77 Cherokee Chief and a Cummins powered Dodge truck to tow it back to Wisconsin with, just so I could have the Jeep and the engine to put in the Jeep. Ended up going a different route and bought an already built 4bt powered YJ. That 4bt was way too heavy for the YJ, I imagine the 6bt would be about a similar wait for the bigger Jeep. If I did it again I would do exactly what is done here and put a 6. 2 in it and leave it stock.

@@southjerseysound7340 a 4bt weighs between 705 to 725lbs and would probably fit better

That's one of my favourite US cars and although I prefer bone stock classics, I really appreciate the craftsmanship of Icon's creations.

Absolutely gorgeous. Build Biology is easily the best of the new format. I know it's a pipe dream, but I would love to see you guys get the Big Red Camaro up on the lift.

My favorite hoonigan build break down. My first car was a 1989 jeep grand wagoneer, blue just like this. I always wanted to slam it though as a kid. Glad I never got the chance. This was both inspiring and humbling. What an amazing build.
