In terms of health impact... each category of food has its own life nowadays How it’s produced, the ingredients and chemicals used, the oil used, the temperature at which the cooking process heated up to, the country of origins and travel distance, vegan/organic, etc I am not vegan but in terms of health impact I would devo suggest eating whole food

I'm a meat eater. I smoke meat, grill meat and likely will never go vegetarian for many reasons. But these impossible burgers are friggin delicious. Between the texture and flavor, they're a solid close rival to a real beef burger. Costco samples is what introduced me to this food, and I am grateful. But this company is still negatively impacting the planet by packaging everything in plastic made from non-renewable resources. There are other plastics made from plant based materials they could use if they want to complete the circle.

Are they really innocent though? "Innocent" animals are slaughtered every day in the wild too. Many of them are often bled to death before eventually being eaten and others are eaten alive like Gazelles in the wild that are preyed upon by Lions in their natural habitat. Do you feel sorry for them? Are they innocent too? At the end of the day, it's all part of our natural food cycle and general population control. As the saying goes, only the fittest will survive. There's nothing good or bad about that, just how nature works in our world.

Chase Matthews . You might think that, but beef production is not only bad for the environment, it’s shockingly inefficient. 8 calories put into beef for 1 calories worth of energy (an 8:1 ratio), not to mention the costs of water that cows drink shitloads of. Impossible beef doesn’t even use standard coal chugging factories, doesn’t take much energy to mix some stuff together.

People who get heart disease and other chronic illness are largely responsible for their own demise, but they "never noticed" going to McDonalds, JakNTheBox etc, and eating greasy hormone injection meat, pus/blood dairy (which is unnatural for adult humans to consume cow lactose), and tons of processed sugar and saturated animal fats everyday was a bad idea. It is not necessarily a health food which nobody claims, but it's a healthier alternative due to low cholesterol and also better for the environment. 3. I’m a huge fan of this product. It tastes great, love the idea that I’m not eating beef, and yes the sodium is high, but fortunately that’s not an issue for me. I’m actually on a weird diet that requires high sodium due to the fact that I have no large intestines and chronically battle with low sodium levels. I love how the interviewer said “I think I can do this at home… I need chicken bullion, water, mayonnaise, this that, my blood 😂 In my opinion, if it tastes great, and eliminates the grossly overpopulated cattle…. I’m down. So awesome companies that can give us the satisfaction of eating something we love so much, and helping the environment and reducing the slaughter of beautiful animals being raised only for us to slaughter.

Burger is a indulgence, a treat anyway, so I am all for it if impossible burger/beyond meat is way better for the environment. It uses 99% less water, 93% less land, think about that!

They still have to grow the soybeans, it take an enormous amount of land. So no, it is not 93% less. I'm so sorry...

@@ElectrikUnicorn 1 acre of highly productive farmland yields aprox. 4251.36 Kg of soy per year. A 1200 pounds steer yields aprox. 222.26 Kg of boneless trimmed beef. In short, planting soy is almost 20x more efficient than "planting" beef. I could let you do the math yourself, but I had my own pleasure in figuring it out. You are welcome (-:

It’s heme,a component of red blood cells that gives meat it’s iron flavor. But it’s made from yeast.

This burger is actualy worst healthwise than regular burger, because it contains vegetable fat. Vegetable fat is made by saturating unsaturated fatty acids in vegetable oils. Long, saturated fatty acids accelerates atherosclerossis anyway, but arteficial saturation also convert cis to trans isomers, wich amplifies the atherosclerotic effect.

To be honest I really love a rib eye steak every now and then. It's my favorite meat now. But I eat the impossible and it tastes so good. I gave up processed meat. Which now I have not eaten since December 31st.

@@jamesbaker1186 All that Processed meat can actually harm your gut. I was on a gut diet to heal it. It also helps out with your microbiom. I also stick away from sugar and just take monk fruit or stevia. All that diet stuff is really bad but all that sugar is bad too. I don't drink cow's milk either because I think it's disgusting.
