I was once this way due to racism but what set me free is forgiving those who did evil. Unforgiveness keeps you in chains and does not allow you to move forward mentally. In the same manner, many black Americans have the same issue. Cinco de Mayo is primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla, where the historic Battle of Puebla took place, and in some other parts of Mexico, but it is not a national holiday and is not widely observed throughout the country.

Like our Hawaiian brother and natives in the Rez. You might not have strong roots to the land not necessarily Mexico territory but all if the southwest side. If you loose your roots you loose your individualism like most Anglo Americans have. Our language and culture has been presence in the USA way before the Anglo presence in the west. And we choose not to asimílate. You don’t have to celebrate it. The same way we don’t have to celebrate at patty’s day. October fest. Or Juneteenth. It’s a choice. If you want to just be American that’s ok but you can’t tell others how to identify. That’s how freedom works.
