This was the ONLY reason I had not used mobile order in the past. I earn gift cards online to pay for everything besides gas & off property food & merch on our trips to WDW. Hope it is permanent.

I'm happy as well. Because they will prefer cashless and I usually pay cash for everything (it keeps me on budget), my plan was to use the cash to buy gift cards to use in the parks.

@@jerrygundrum1 Not necessarily. It's been demonstrated that everyone wearing masks, and washing hands, is pretty effective. There's more risk in a lot of stores than Disney right now, looking at their precautions.

Staying CLOSED costs Disney MILLIONS per day, MILLIONS. Yes, Disney has that kind of bread to lose, but they have lost hundreds of millions over 4 months. Opening (even with only a small number of annual pass holders) you are selling food/toys/clothes and they can at least "break even" until they can fully open.

Trust me I live in Florida. ITS NOT FUN. If I were you guys I would wait until next year.

Dat Persian King Hey there. If you want to ride some of the classics like Splash, Spaceship Earth, etc. before they get reimagined, you might consider coming. However, if these are of no importance to you, it would be better to postpone your trip to the future. A lot of the magic of Disney at the parks is restricted because of health risks, which retracts from the full experience that most people expect to get. Additionally, Florida’s number of cases is increasing by the day, which would put you and your wife at risk. Overall, it depends on what risks you are willing to take. If it were me, I would avoid Disney right now, no matter what restrictions they have. Disney may have tons of precautions in sanitizing their facilities, but they have no way of knowing if the people who enter their parks are asymptomatic. There may be people who are spreading the virus unknowingly.

I live in southwest Florida and people do not wear masks in the stores only the employees because they are made to. I think going to the theme parks are more safe than the grocery stores because masks in theme parks are mandatory.

DC or WA? I am having the same concern but still leaning to go just for the shorter lines and way less crowds. I think it is safer than the rest public areas. I hope the curve will get flatted a little after a month

Being cautious and aware of your safety and others safety isn’t being scared. It is being considerate of others, and mindful of your own safety. Why do people that want to be cautious and advocate for their well-being and comfort have to be stuck at home? This is her JOB. She is working, and staying home might not be an option now that the parks have opened. Her job requires her to be in the parks providing content for this channel. If she doesn’t feel safe or comfortable in a situation, she has the right to speak up and say something.

That is the difference and the disproportionate response of assessing genuine threats verses governmental suggestions for public health. Many people can’t fathom there is a difference and wear their fear in public like a badge of public service “policing” public health concerns as if their hypersensitivity can be justified as normal.

TheMystro1971 some people may compare having a pandemic and potentially passing it along to loved ones and others as equally life threatening as being in a foxhole in Afghanistan . It doesn’t feel as disproportionate as your describe considering how many people have died of this horrible disease already. Taking an abundance of caution by wearing a face mask, washing your hands, spacing yourself out, etc. isn’t policing others. It is being respectful and considerate of others and their well being, as well as keeping yourself safe. Speaking up and advocating for your safety and well-being is a basic human right, especially in the US and especially in places like DisneyWorld who have put measures in place to help keep their patrons feeling safe and comfortable. You are entitled to your opinion and I am to mine.
