Very nice three minute overview of inflation. As the dollar (and euro) may be a good medium of exchange and unit of account, it isn't a good store of value. To store value, you need assets. This realization has prompted me to buy a basket of diversified assets. By the way, there is a very interesting video by Pensioncraft "What Is The Safe Withdrawal Rate In Retirement?". It very well demonstrates the benefits of diversification in asset classes as well as unhedged international stocks (basically exposure to other currencies).

Thank you @CyclingPhilosopher8798! Agreed. Your video recommendation by Pensioncraft is excellent and very appreciated. He really strengthened the idea of diversification being important and beneficial. I was happy and pleased with the result of including gold in the allocations. I will be watching that video again. I cooked my own Hamburger a little while ago. It is so nice to be able to afford to put Bacon on my Hamburgers again. No more cheap American Cheese either.
