I have an 07 wrangler Sahara with 146k on the odometer. Love it. Have no desire to get a new vehicle. Smiles per gallon not miles per gallon. I’ve got 35s 3” lift and I couldn’t be more happy. Not the best highway rig but when you hit the trails and go camping, it’s so perfect. Fits on any trails. Never let’s me down. Even when broken you can always limp her home.

I just bought a single owner 2007 4 Door JK Hard Top from an older genetleman. It has 61,000 miles on it and it is the 6 speed manual. Clutch is as smooth as butter. And when I tell you the interior and exterior are flawless, I mean it has no sun fading, no ripped seats, no scratches. Nothing. Its all bone stock too, no lift or bumpers. He sold it to me for $13,000 and I am still p**ping my pants over this needle in a haystack especially for the price. Best thing is that I did not have to go into debt to get a nice Jeep.

I have 2011 identical version, except hardtop. Silver, unlimited, roof rack. I only get 11-12 mpg as well and I have stock front and rear bumpers. 33 inch tires, and 2.5 inch lift. Engine just died a month ago with a little over 150,000 miles on her. She's in the shop now getting a new/rebuilt Jasper engine. I hope she'll be like new after that and give me many many more years of trouble-free service. Thanks for the video. You did a great job keeping yours running and looking great all these years.

I've got a 2013 jeep wrangler sport. I've had it 3 months now and love it. I've done somethings too it and still upgrading on it. It's got the soft top 3.6 V6 6speed and a 2 door. Love it.

i got a daily driver 07 jeep wrangler X 2 door , got it for 12k fully stocked with a gang of modifications i recently hit 180,000 miles i’ve only replaced the battery and alternator so far, only other issue is the water pump and o2 sensor other than that this baby is running smooth as butter. nice jeep bro.

So glad I came accross your vid as I’ve seen to much negative comments on the 3.8 from those running the 3.6, which after my research, seems the 3.6 has its own set of issues, more complex and expensive

I have an 08 Jeep Rubicon JKU 3.8 liter with the 4 speed auto, factory Dana 44's with 4.10 gears. 35x12.50x17 tires with 3.5" lift. I get 15.5 mpg manually calculated at each fill up. I'm not relying on the dash mileage display, I calculated myself so I know it's legit, MPH also confirmed by GPS and I've got front and rear bumpers, heavy duty hinged tire carrier, winch, etc so it's got some added weight and still gets 15.5 mpg at 65-70 mph. You're better off with the JScan app for tire calibration and trans shift points along with everything else. Shows you your trans, t-case, diff temps, etc. Also allows you to toggle on high idle (1650 RPM) for winching, toggling on electric fan at will, TPMS adjustments, headlight, driving light adjustments and so much more. Best part is it's only $24 for the license fee and it's all yours, works on the fly on your phone. The 3.8 liter isn't a powerhouse by any means, however it's a very reliable conventional OHV pushrod engine. When taken care of they can hit the 300,000 mile mark. Mine is decent with the auto trans, factory 4.10 gearing with the 35's, however I think 4.88's would be ideal with the 3.8, auto and 35's.

My 3.8L has 240k+ on it. She uses a little oil, but runs pretty good still.

At 9:11 you mentioned that you were given a 4.10 gear ratio upgrade. I just bought my first car ever, a 2007 Sahara 2dr with 101k miles. She was very well taken care of, and I've been doing loads of research while I wait for the dealership to finish fixing some small issues we found when combing over the Jeep. The Jeep I just got has this 4.10 gear ratio upgrade, as I've found on the build sheet. She's running 99% stock. What does that gear ratio upgrade do for me that the base one can't?

Looking at a 2007 rubicon with 140k miles. He’s wanting 11k for it but it’s got a valve cover gasket leak, lockers won’t lock, sway bar won’t disconnect, and ac needs work. Other than that it looks like it’s in very good condition. Do you think it’s a fair price?
