Hey Polya 👋 I love your videos you give such great advice to help people in their wellbeing, I have subscribed to your channel as I find your videos so helpful. I can relate to the perfectionist thing to be honest I do have that in me I can sometimes set unrealistic goals and be hard on myself, I expect high standards from myself, I'm suffering with burnout at the moment as I was working 60 to 70 hours a week and running a home and being a single parent and running social media pages etc I have learnt through your videos that I was being unrealistic of what I can manage as one human being and I have learnt now to take a step back and realise I can't do it all Your videos must help so many people so I thankyou for sharing 💗

Thank you Polya, I read a great book called overcoming perfectionism a couple of years ago and it was a revelation for me. Unfortunately, a lot of old and very destructive patterns have started to creep back in. So thank you for your video 😇

Hi Ben! Thank you so much for your comment :) I will definitely check the book out as I am constantly on a lookout to battle perfectionism hahah. Stay on track with your goals :) and be compassionate with yourself, we lack it so often

@@RealPolya I’d 100% recommend, it was of great help to me. I think perfectionism is sooo indoctrinated into our culture now. if you do get it, please let me know how you find it! I think we can likely make the best progress by identifying these unhelpful patterns which keep us stuck in negative cycles, perfectionism being a big one! You’re very kind, I hope you reserve plenty for yourself too 🤗

@@BenRobson123 yess perfectionism is practically ingrained in our culture, that is so true! and yes, I plan to get a lot of rest over this upcoming winter break :) very excited for the holidays hehe! happy holidays to you!
