I swear this dude hasnt aged either lol. That or im just so much older he just looks the same, who knows lol. One of my biggest life regrets is not getting a knife made by him.

Walter, have you ever thought of experimenting with using a vertical heat treating oven filled with argon? Argon is heavier than air and will completely displace the normal nitrogen/oxygen air all around us with an inert gas leaving you with an oxygen free environment in your heat-treating oven. I don't know if it would work well enough to avoid having to use the heat-treating foil, as the blade would still be exposed during the quench, but it would save a lot of time and expense if it did. Might be something to consider trying.

Wonderful video. A suggestion to make your life a bit easier. Switch to using a 12v drill for running/releasing the CNC hold down bolts. Smaller, lighter, more nimble, yet the modern 12v cordless tools are almost certainly plenty powerful enough for what you're doing.

Can’t wait to get the preorder in! In some parts of the video, it looks like the knife has a harpoon style blade but in other parts it’s a drop point. Will there be a harpoon option?

I was wondering if you extended the length of the tip hole and as the very last operation severed it, if that wouldn't save you a lot of grinding that tip off. Just a thought.

One decimal off and you can crash a several hundred thousand dollar multi tool chuck spinning at break neck speeds . Trust me . I’ve done it . Sounds like a bomb going off and then some .
