I’ve begun contacting companies, and to be honest it’s been discouraging (not that I expected great success my first time at bat). Testimonies such as this are both reassuring and motivating.

I know it's not always about the financial gains and often about that one success story that opens doors for you. However, we all understand how much role money plays in our lives, thus, I was hoping you would touch with Jennifer on the money aspect of her idea and the potential gains in royalties she's looking at or hoping to achieve. I would like to know if this is something one can pursue on full-time bases and whether it is rewarding enough for someone who has no shortage of practical, useful, and innovative ideas. I can relate with her and I know I can make this world smarter, easier, and more enjoyable with the kind of ideas that I have. I'm also planning on taking your course very soon. Keep up the good work and thank you for the useful content you share with us.

buy his book "one simple idea" first, will explain everything, you can basically get the ball rolling with that and a provisional patent application, good luck!

That's fair. We don't recommend that anyone quits their day job to start licensing their product ideas. You need some runway time, probably more than you think, and multiple sources of passive income (ie licensed products) to take away risk. After you sign the licensing agreement, the product could still be dropped; not become a market success, etc. Hope that makes sense. Steve reveals how much each of his licensed products generated in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nd6VqKaBxq3JeI0.html

Such a pity (in-fact downright criminal!) that innovators, working directly or under contract, are so often not accorded 'credit' for THEIR innovative input - that credit being deferred to managers or other company personnel who supervise them. Which would YOU rather trust in developing some necessary yet life-risking innovation - the actual person who's 'done it before' or the engineer/manager to whom the innovator had to explain the innovation and who was awarded 'credit' for bringing it to corporate?

hey! so i got "one simple idea" last october, since then ive gotten a PPA for my invention, after a few weeks/month of reaching out to potential licensees i gave up. I followed up with someone recently and he actually expressed some interest in licensing. :) The only thing is my PPA expires in 2 weeks from today, (October 2020 - October 2021). I also never created a "works-like" prototype, just a "looks-like" prototype, but the invention *should* work. lol. What should i do next? Should i get another PPA? or could i do this with just an NDA? Thanks, Chris PS: This is all due to "One simple idea", thanks Stephen!!

Good. That said, are there any of these videos that tell approximately what the Licensor gets in Royalties? Doesn't have to be specific but ballpark, $200/month $1000, or 3 figures or 4 figures/ [insert timeframe]. Would be helpful

Most inventors aren't interested in disclosing that - understandably. It's a lot easier to get someone who is looking back on their career to reveal that personal information! Steve reveals what he made from different deals on different ideas in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nd6VqKaBxq3JeI0.html
