Eliot Mack from Lightcraft revealed exciting updates to their Jetset Cine app that are set to revolutionize virtual production workflows. The main highlight is a breakthrough in tracking refinement, which enables sub-pixel level tracking in real-time. Lightcraft has developed AutoShot, an automated post-production system that seamlessly integrates onset data into post-production applications like SynthEyes. This system includes an AI Roto feature that automatically generates alpha channels for tracked objects, eliminating the need for manual rotoscoping.

Very useful information. Jetset is the software that best matches the actual shooting and post-production process that I have found. I used Jetset in my recent virtual shooting, but the fixation of the mobile phone was the most troubling issue during use. In addition, it was also troublesome to confirm the center point of the scene, especially when I needed to frequently change the lens and used the telescopic gun during the entire shooting process.

Initial Syntheyes export scripts are already in Autoshot so it will work. We're reworking the scripts to automate the AI roto mattes, set the solver initial conditions correctly, and generally clean up the workflow. After that's done we'll release a full tutorial on the site.
