I'm actually completely stunned about rexy getting skimmed and staying in place. The amount of kinetic energy that bowling ball has, is immense. And to strike rexy while transferring almost none of that kinetic energy, means the contact area had to be microscopically small. Like it's actually unfathomable

I think probably debris and stuff is getting stuck and bunged up in the barrel. Likely you need a really strong wire barrel brush to scrape it clean after every shot. Like a much bigger wire toilet brush. Your shots would be a lot more reliable then at least. Even the tiniest bit if friction can change whether they spin up or spin down, or just spin less, which can affect it's direction in the air. Not an explosives guy just a physics guy who has seen other videos about home made explosives and tubes.
