That’s just California for you. The one time under Trump where gas was over $3 was during and immediately after hurricane harvey bc most of our gas comes from the Houston area anyways.

@alfredcoderre7339 trump inherited one of the best economic situations in American history and within 4 years there was a full blown recession. Now if you're not a silly person you wouldn't blame trump for the economic outcome of a global pandemic that he cant control, just like you wouldn't blame biden for global supply issues that he can't control. Unless you think biden passed some sort of law that says "the economy will do worse" it feels like there is a disconnect between how strongly you hold a leader responsible for a global situation based on what party they are, which is a really silly way to go thru life

@@convoswithconjay while the US has a lot of influence on the world economic stage, saying we "control other economies" is a massive simplification and ignores the volition other countries have. Inflation is an effect of an economy in rebound from a near recession, it's necessary to get it going again. This is quite literally macroeconomics 101, but I wouldn't expect you to know that considering the whole MAGA thing you got going on

Yes they are. If we close the border and deport, insurance policies will be cheaper. Energy and gas will be cheaper if we start drilling again and open up that beautiful pipeline

Federal reserve is more to blame than trump or biden, both trump and biden did good things for me, that being said im not in favor of using our oil reserves to steady gas prices due to the off chance of needing oil reserves for an actual emergency If we saved extra oil reserves specifically for gas prices then sure but that was never the plan

Gas was cheaper, and Trump wasn't digging into America's oil like Joe Biden is, everything was cheaper. Trump also doesn't want to stop pipelines and drilling. This electric car nonsense is just a utopian dream , we don't have the infrastructure for it, it's not practical, and combustion engines mean freedom, electric cars mean government / corporate central control

@@Zachery_ What did the Federal Reserve do to raise gas prices? In April 2020, Trump persuaded OPEC and Russia to cut production by 10%. In April 2020, the price of a barrel of crude oil was $22. In May it was $42. By the time Biden was inaugurated in January 2021, it was $61. US gas prices started rising in April 2020.

Data put out by the energy information administration shows average gas prices were lowest under trump since 2007. Idk why you would think prices are lower now when prices now are higher than they’ve been under any other administration ever.
