Rosatom has never been sanctioned as even US nuclear reactors need the fuel rods, Gazprom has not been sanctioned as other nations still need gas. It's not running at full steam but it's enough to keep the economy afloat.

Russia's population distribution already has echoes from WW2, Afghanistan, and their other wars. This current war will affect their economic performance for generations to come. Population growth, education, hopefully their politics, science, and military might. Russia will pay a huge price for Putin's stupidity and grandiosity.

The west, especially the US, can easily fund the fighting in Ukraine. The question is whether they will rise to the occassion. The amount of US money going into the fight is microscopic compared to their GDP, for example, plus a large portion of it goes straight into their own MIC. A drop in an ocean. Russia can never compete against that, if the US has the balls to resist Russia.

Germans should know how their economy went in the 1930s. Very well. Probably because somebody was rearming Germany to the teeth and spending a fortune on the military, making the economy boom and apparently grow fast. Problem is tanks and guns don't improve your population's everyday lives and it is not a sustainable form of growth. You just have a very large expensive military that needs a big war to justify. Almost a quarter of their population and every is dying under 30 in the war. NATO is going to allocate a 100 billion dollars too in the next 4 years outside of the aid of individual countries. I would move to another country if i was Russian.
