@@Gun_Nut361 Even with veneers, they have to shave down a little bit of the teeth, which destroys the enamel and the enamel is for protecting your teeth. So if you get veneers, you can never go back to having natural teeth

All we have to do now is take off the old Venere, and start with the same process and cost ( if prices haven’t gone up in 15-20 years ) that you initially did when you first got them..

I understand the initial cost being $10k because of how long they last. BUT, patients with veneers should receive a huge discount the second and third times, should they have to replace them at some point down the line. Honestly, in my opinion, veneers should be much more affordable + dental insurance should cover a percentage. I mean shouldn’t oral health be cost efficient if that’s all dental professionals preach??

Yes that is true but given the time period they last 10-15 years it should give you plenty of time to save up 10k for a new pair

@@talxxn_ I absolutely disagree. You shouldn’t have to spend that much on a presentable smile. I have had braces 3 times, I still have a crooked smile, I’ve had composite veneers(which are cheaper), and other dental work done just to keep a presentable smile. I have spent around $20k on my teeth and that doesn’t include basic dental care throughout the years. It should not break the bank to be able to afford beautiful teeth, whatever that may look like for each person. Dental insurance has never been as good as it can be, and that’s just a fact.

@@jaycasado5029you get what you pay for. The reason they are so cheap developing countries as well as plastic surgery is that if anything goes wrong there’s nothing you can do. You cannot sue for medical negligence or malpractice etc. The reason they are so expensive in the west is because doctors must have insurance.

@@bsways Veneers actually have oral health value. They can stop some bacteria and plaque from causing further damage to a weak tooth, they can act as protection for thin enamel, and they can simplify the oral hygiene process. I realize that for a lot of people they are purely cosmetic. But to say they don’t aid in the oral health benefit is not exactly true.

NOT to forget oil pulling, using a straw when drinking juice/ fizzy or avoiding them. Gargling with water after eating foods.

I think replacement is base on age ur age determines how many times coz if u in ur late 60s or in ur 70s am sure its a one time job thing

It remains a challenge to replace veneers without sacrificing more tooth structure. The notion of hoping for new technologies to remove porcelain from the tooth without affecting its structure is optimistic. Currently, most, if not all, dentists opt for the use of a drill bit to grind the porcelain off the tooth when the margins are affected, as investing in such expensive materials is not common practice.

Mine cost about 750 per tooth if I remember (4 teeth). That was 13 years ago. They've been mostly good. Early on, I had one or two fall off initially because they did a poor job attaching (I was eating corn nuts). They easily reattached and that hasn't happened in years.

@@ThomasShelby... Hindsight - I wish I hadn't. I was in my early 20s and having serious self-confidence/self-image issues. I got my veneers because of a gap in my top front teeth. They did those 2 teeth and the 2 adjacent. It changed the way the world interacted with me and opened doors and I even meet my wife within that year. But I wish I had my original teeth. I wanted a quick fix and didn't want to wear braces for awhile to fix things - I was in a dark place. This, and don't the whole putting on 20 lbs of muscle etc transformation stuff changed the game for me, and has had huge positive benefits for me - but I don't think I'd do it again if I went back

Veneers cost $130-250 in my country and my mum had hers for 30 years now and they are as good looking and healthy as ever. 🤔
