5 months to guarantee... Genshin has been going on for 23 months, and I've played for 20 of those months. I guess that's why I have 4 Event 5 Stars, Eula, Ganyu, Raiden, and Xiao. Existence is pain. Update: And then in the 3 months since this comment I got both Kazuha and Cyno having won the 50/50 on both. Nice. Update: And then in the 3 months after the first update I have now won the 50/50 to get Ayato, Alahaitham, and Yelan (although with the caveat that I have been buying Welkin Moon) God Damn. Luck went through the roof after this comment.

surprisingly, i get really lucky with my pulls- (this is so long no ones gonna read it💀) i started around the end of ganyus rerun (i think) and managed to get yae right away with 33 pulls. then, i did a few pulls for kokomi here and there and didnt get her (rip) and pulled for venti and got him early, around 40 or so. then, i began to save up for kazuha, getting about 100-ish pulls during ayakas extended banner, which i ended up pulling on because i really wanted her. that one was not so lucky, i lost to qiqi early and went all the way to 80 to get her. then, i was back at only 20. i pulled on xiaos banner as a joke days later, because i was only at 3 pity w no guarantee and only had two ten pulls and lo and behold, i got him at 17 pity. then kazuhas banner was announced shortly after and i had to speedrun getting primos, so i got to abt 85 and when i pulled for him, i got extremely lucky and pulled qiqi at 15 pity and then got kazuha two ten pulls later, leaving me about 50 pulls which i used on yoimiya and won my 50/50!

What's more important than getting primos is unfortunately, either have a credit card at bay or you have a lucky account that could change everything

I always go for single pulls whenever I hit 160 primogems, then the other day, yoimiya came home 🥰

As a f2p who's been playing for 4 months I got 3 limited 5 stars and two of them were guaranteed... but nearly all my map is cleared out and I got near 700 achievements plus all story quests and hangouts cleared off. Now I'm 100%sure my late game would be a huge hell farming for primos　☠️

For those who want to know how long it would take a more casual player to save that much, I am a casual player and I have been saving for almost a year now. I have somewhere between 170-180 wishes now. I started saving around 0ctober 2021 at the end of Kokomi's release banner.

General rule, I always save at least 3 patches for one limited. This would be enough even if you lose 50/50.

i have a cousin who only pulls when he wants and *always* wins the 50/50s, yes, i am both extremely proud and happy for him but also in immense physical pain everytime i see it happen

I wish hoyo would make it atleast 4 5-stars per year instead of 2. Would actually benefit for them in the long run since it will give players more variety and fun with different characters which would make everyone more interested in the game and are more likely to spend

There's also doing open world exploration though. I remember from Liffey Region and Fontaine Research Institute Region, I got over 3-4k from that alone

honestly i thought 21000 primos was alot and i would get a 5 star weapon early and have like 10k to spare not as much as i thought it was

I've played for about 10-12 months now, paid some welkins and BP here and there, probably around 6 times for BP, and welkin is probably around 10, and I got 16 5 stars including some copies like C1 Ayaka, Diluc, and Jean, and C2 Qiqi, the rest of them are event characters, and I only need Keqing from standard left

Thank god it’s gonna take a long time until Childe and Ayato get their reruns after their event banners end, so I’m hoping to get both of them in the future, with all the materials needed to get them to level 80 😃

kazuha banner: 84 pity *qiqi, take it or leave it* got c4 Heizou so it's kinda not bad yoimiya banner: sacrificial great sword, and c3 xinyan at 50 pity

You forgot about the 1 major event every patch that gives around 1000 primos. Plus, let's say that every 10 pull will give 2 star glitters which is equivalent to 2/5 of a wish.

Mean while me who reach the pinnacle of my acc and f2p clear the spiral abyss floor 12 chamber 3 I'm so glad that I was able to clear it as a free to play and almost 6 month old acc

For the shop reset you have to calculate how many wishes it would take to get enough stardust for them

Note; this is without chests from exploration. I speak from experience, if you drop hours into it, you can get a bit more

I think there's a miscalculation since not all events give the same amount of gems, some main events give out plenty more and can reach on their own around 1k primos if not higher (most recently the golden apple archipelago of 2.8) alongside web events and achievement sets and maps that are added at the bare minimum you get 8000 gems per patch and around 10k at maximum for newer more major patches which alongside starglitter and 2 monthly resets per patch will allow for a person to get a guarantee every 2 patches so at 80 days not 150

I'm very scared of the emergency daily commission 😭

I've said this many times before if 10 wishes gets us at least 1 or more 4* then 30 should give us at least 1 or more 5*. each wish should cost 100 not 160. there should be 4 commissions per region & separate guild bonuses of each region as well. each commission should give 20 not 10 & the guild bonus 40 not 20. genshin is just trying to force us to buy Premogems & drain us dry by releasing new characters every 20 days as opposed to what it was originally 30 days, I still remember those days and even with those 30 days for each banner we were still rushing around. They are nothing more than money grubbers and they still expect 2, 5, 10 gems from chests to make a difference nope and then the one time redeemable chests that give 20 gems then one time achievements that only give us 2, 5, 10 gems. Not forgetting the dreaded livestream codes that are only valid for less than a day & not once have they sent a notification to me on time to tell me is on and codes are available it's always 1 day to 2 weeks late or not at all, I've subscribed to their KZfaq channel and set up notification alarms for their official sites and nothing. I did what they suggested and they still fail out of all the livestream codes I've managed to get are 2 sets of 300 gems cause some random youtuber some how got the codes and released the earlier or on time before genshin did and you know it's bad when someone else that has nothing to do with the game releases thing like codes before they do. Non of these are enough to get what we are aiming for & to take the absolute P**S the 50/50 is more of a 95/5 with us having the 95% chance of losing. I've lost every so called 50/50 since I started only getting Qiqi C6+, Jean C5, Diluc C4 & Mona C4. reason I said Qiqi C6+ is cause I have only pulled her for the last 5 event banners, In fact all of them have been from event banners not standard cause from that I get any skyward weapons & 1 Amos bow only, except the catalyst Skyward Atlas. it's ether genshin hates me for no good reason or I'm cursed, most likely both. what did I do to deserve this?

this gets even worse if you're trying to pull a weapon.

Have been sparing my primos for over a month, occasionally wishing for Layla and Dori, I now have 11.155 primos, completely f2p, been doing events from hoyolab too. I can make around 60 wishes now and am determined to get scaramouche 😭😂

I am a free to play, and I basically can pull on every other 5 star banner. When a new area gets released you can collect a lot more and pull on an extra banner or two. That is basically it.

I have 51k primos saved up and 55 interfates, I am waiting for Yelan for so long and now she’s coming in less than a week. I can’t wait!

You get more from events, most events are 420, but each patch has a big event that gives more

This is excluding world quests and world exploration and of new areas and achievements which also give a lot Also the main event of the patch gives more than 420 primos (Around 1000 but im not too sure) Also you are more likely to get a five star in around 150 wishes because the soft pity system makes it very hard to get to pity 90 after pity 74 So you will get a five star sooner than than 151 days From my experience playing genshin you get enough for a single five star every update (the characters you get from losing the 50/50 also count) What takes longer is getting a 5 star from standard cuz the game usually offers 10 per update (Sometimes we get more because of new locations coming with trees and items that we can level up like the sacred sakura or the tree of dreams or lumenstone adjuvant)

as an f2p you'll get 1 5* per patch so 2 patches to get a guarenteed charavter considering if your desired character is the 3rd patch or in the end of 2nd patch of saving

I started playing genshin a few weeks ago, and I only did like 15 pulls of 1 and I got 2 5 stars, but they were weapons... I was so disapointed

I've been playing for 110 days and I've saved 21,000 protogems, I want to reach 50k

Its actually 220 primo per day every patch have major event that give 1000 primo and 3 normal event that give 420 primos its 2220 primo from event every patch is 42 days every 3 month you can buy 5 more wish from shop its same for abyss.and some times genshin give you primo just by login to game or wining game awards.if you cant free email wish you can even rich 300 primo per day in some month. This is just for end game player with 100 complete map and quest.

It's worth the wait, i will never ever pull at 50/50 to save myself from disappointment. The only 50/50 i pull are weapons, but for characters i make sure that i always save atleast 150.

I started buying welkins 1 month into playing the game in 3.3 and I’ve gotten a total of 7 limited 5 stars and 1 5 star weapon. This is with most 50/50 wins, half of the map 100% explored and most quests completed so it may seem like a lot but it rlly still isn’t even if you are a low spender.

ive been playing on and off since end of first yoi banner, 216 days according to hoyolab, and i have ganyu, venti, and c1 keqing (sadge xP). im currently guaranteed for zhongli or kokomi! i hope he/she comes home early 🤞

Well there's a loooooot of things uncalculated, star coins things or whatever there called, chests, tree upgrades, battle pass (standard banner pulls = potential star fates) satue upgrades shrines of depths exploration in general give a massive amount. Exploring sumeru got me around 120 wishes total along with the other past regions so it really depends on the patch. If the patch is adding a new location expect to make a lot of your dedicated to exploring and discovering secrets. Realistically it would take you about 60 to 80 days to guarantee yourself unless you already explored litterslly everything.

I recommend just grinding IRL. Those paper thingys they give you can be used to buy primos, and it can also be used to buy instant noodles at the nearest store

And if you are willing to spend a low amount you can get a solid increase on that with welkin, welkin + dailies alone is enough for a wish daily, and that's for only $5 with is relatively low
