As an owner of a C3 R1 Raiden Shogun, I say choose one character to get their max power if you love them and play them everywhere. Otherwise more characters is always the way to go, since killing 3 hillichurls for a common chest does not require that much power lol

Another thing I would add is that if you are saving for someone with no leaked kit yet. When the character comes out and if their constallations are bad, don't feel pressured to pull for cons just because you saved

As a ftp player I never go for more then c0 i find it best to save those pulls for new character instead

The most probable time to pull a 5 star is around 80 pulls, so that’s what I’m counting on, and I also account for loosing every 50/50. For me constellation can wait a bit, I want new characters more. I skipped the Fontaine characters this far, had to get Venti and Furina. I’ll get Lyney and Neuvillette on their reruns. And I must have Arlechino like you. The others can wait

Saving up everything For arlecchino & furina ^^ while I lost my focus a bit with the previous 4.0 banners, this helped me clear up my goals!

I like to experiment and have many characters so never go for constellations. Memories of saving hard for Ayaka (she came home with 10 wishes, I was super excited and still had 160 wishes). lessons learnt from losing the 50/50 on her previous banners. I turned to the weapon banner set my optimised path and failed to bring home Mistsplitter. Fortunately for me, there was also Shenhe's signature on that banner. I was able to capitalise on my good luck. I am currently on 155 wishes going into Furina's banner so she's gauranteed. But deep down I'm crossing my fingers behind my back for winning the 50/50 so I can be in a good place for Navia.

I love Raiden Shogun gameplay, design, lore etc. Currently saving for her. Started playing from March 2023 so i missed her 3.3 rerun. Hopefully she gets her rerun 4.3. But recently i pulled Neuvillette. My plan to get Raiden, wait for Neuvillette rerun for c1 + r1.

whenever i think about "how much should i save", i remember spending 300 wishes on 2.1 Raiden banner only to get c0 (with c0 sara too lmao). the thing is that after losing second 50/50 i didnt have enough wishes even tho it was REALLY late into pity. so that gave me a lesson to never count on luck and save 180 for a character/cons (clorinde and arlecchino please come home)

I've been saving since 3.7 (Kazuha banner) and skipping everything for Furina. Currently sitting on 450 wishes. Hoping to get C2R1 or C4R1 if im lucky.

Love this video! I’m a primo hoarder and always have a guaranteed character banked (150 wishes, 75+75 if you lose 50/50s) and just got for c0 chars. Skipped everyone for Furina & Baizhu and now probably will wait for Arle just like you! Stay strong everyone

As a tall character collector, this makes me happy and sad at the same time. I am happy to have more tall characters to collect but my primo gems could never keep up, I may have to skip some of them. I might prioritize Navia and her signature weapon like I did Dehya and Beacon if she's going straight to the standard banner after her initial banner run. My 2nd priority would be Arlecchino, followed by Cloud Retainer, then Clorinde.

I just started the game two weeks ago because my cousin got me engrossed in Wriothesley’s storyline. I’m saving everything I earn for his next banner. There are so many characters I’ve come to like but I am so upset that I missed his first banner and have to wait who knows how long.

This has never happened to me before. I developed a sudden urge to gamble. My inner brotha was telling me to gamble Gamble GAMBLE GAMBLE! Anyways I gamb-I mean built pity💯 About 30 times and got duplicate cons but that calmed me down. I might turn all my primos into standard banner wishes if Navia doesn't come soon.

Yess especially on the worth skipping, when you finally get what you want you feel like you accomplish the game and get lazy to log on. After I got c3 raiden I felt complete and logged on less and eventually stopped playing for half a year because I had nobody else to look forward to!! Saving is good and you get what you want, and after their first release you can easily figure out if you actually want them and pre-farm and optimize builds and teams for your new member :)

I've always doubted my luck and really want arlecchino ever since her first appearance currently saved 900+ wishes and going Praying im blessed for c6

Both Childe and Wanderer, as harbingers, have had interesting kit ideas: Stance change on Childe with complex mechanics, and Wanderer's flight mechanic and various methods of attacking. Arlecchino will also be interesting imho. Some speculate that she's like "old aatrox in league of legends" so some kind of life steal and healing mechanic perhaps. It's also been rumored that 4.4's lantern rite will have Cloud Retainer dropping. I can't take the risk lol.

I'm all in on Navia. I'm a sucker for defied expectations. Navia could have easily been an obnoxious spoiled rich girl "Oh hohoho" type. But shes a sweet and caring girl who works hard for others.

i am saving for Cloud Retainer and Xiao!!!! 😁 I pulled a whole bunch of characters in a row: Wanderer, Kokomi, Lyney, Childe, Neuvillette, Hutao, and Venti.... Now, i'm skipping all of 4.2 and 4.3. Hopefully i can stay strong xD (kokomi at pity 4 and hu tao at 69 were pleasant surprises, everyone else i wanted in some capacity) Xiao & Wanderer are my favorite characters of all time. I also really want Nilou, whenever she comes back.🥰

I've been saving wishes myself since I pulled for Alhaitham 5 months ago. I plan on pulling for Furina soon, Raiden shogun, and Arlecchino. All of them at C0 ofc, I'm not delusional. Even though your tip is great for getting constellations, I personally am someone who thinks it's not worth it. Because I'm a casual player, and I don't need to get into the top 5% of the abyss or whatever. I'm currently at 315 wishes and counting! while aiming for character cons is completely valid, imo the game is easy and spiral abyss is only around 30 minutes every 15 days so cons arent worth it, i'd rather pull for all fontaine cast in their release at c0 and be able to enjoy everyone, and losing purpose in the late patches of a region isn't a bad thing, it's nice to have a break from the game around that time,

I'm semi f2p (welkin and bp) and I think this is some great points that can honestly make the grind more exciting, great vid!

Pulling on every character banner as soon as I had 160 primogems was a rookie mistake I made long ago when I was new player. It made me end up with a bunch of characters I did not need and a few 5*s I did not like to play. Being realistic and having a plan is the way to go in this game. With your experience I can see you found the healthy approach too. The only thing I would say, you still need to come to terms with the Weapons banner. What works for me is, wait for a weapon banner where I want both featured weapons. Then go and pull one 5* out of it. If it's the featured weapon, good, I have use for it. And if it's standard banner weapon, then next time I have the featured weapon guaranteed as this kind of pity does transfer between banners. In three years of my playing there was just one case where I used Epitomized Path and it was for Neuvillette's weapon. And it was special circumstances: first I got Staff of Homa which was good as I did not have one yet. Then I made a few more pulls trying to get some more of the HP sword out of it and I got standard banner weapon early. And since I had enough pulls left at that point, I went full in and got Neuv's book too. In total I got four weapons I really like out of that banner: Homa, Neuv's book, the sword for my Nilou, and Fischl's bow which has mostly aesthetical value but I like it anyway. And since I skipped Wriothesley, I already have enough pulls saved to get Furina. Not her weapon unless I get lucky but that does not matter, she's my primary goal right now.

I saved for Eula and never did i pull for any Sumeru character, so no dendro in my account was TOUGH, but i saved 500 pulls, and now i have her C6R1, it was worth it. Now im saving for Arlechinno, even tho i just pulled for Neuvillette i have 20 wishes rn, but the fact that furina is coming soon makes me doubt bc she could be another op support like nahida, and i dont even like furina but yes idk. I'll see what the 4.2 update adds to the lore, and in case you were wondering im f2p and got 1 welking moon from a giveaway.

I bet all those Ayato savers feel really good now, after Neuvillette release. One of big reasons why it's not a great idea to save for reruns is inavitable powercreep in gacha games. If you like the character then sure get one copy but don't go ham unless it's a new character you like and they are good enough for constellations to matter.

This was me with Wriothesley, the best thing is to ask yourself "Will I really use this character if I pull them?" because that was me with Neuvilette, I always build teams around my main husbandos and Childe is my 1st, Wrio is my 2nd, so no point pulling for other main dps that you won't use, especially since (IMO) it's best to have a VERY strong core team and then work on adding other support characters to strengthen the diversity of the teams you can run. It does suck to not be pulling when shiny new banners come up, but just focus on saving your primos for what comes next and strengthening the characters you already have with your daily resin, it makes things a lot easier.

200 pulls only get you one Eula and 2 Jeans, believe me, I tried...

Love this. I started playing roughly 4 months ago when I discovered Kaveh, and even though I could potentially get him on standard, I still haven't, so I'm waiting for his next feature. I have fallen into a in between of pulling for certain characters, and then giving up if it becomes too much. For example, I tried pulling for Neuvillette, but lost my 50/50 fairly early on, so I decided to save for Wriothesley. It was the best decision on my part, I love him a lot and he's my best as of now, leading me to get his weapon and try for c1. But, seeing how I'm mostly f2p, his banner ends in a week so I'm giving up on c1 at 50 built up pity in favor of Baizhu, and then hopefully Cyno. The cycle repeats. I try not to go for cons as I just mostly enjoy having the characters, but if I find I like them like Wrio, I'll give it a shot. Biggest issue is that I love so many characters haha! I've got my eye on Arlecchino and Clorinde, but I'm still hoping for Nilou, Raiden, and Alhaitham to rerun. Here's to hoping we all get the characters we want soon

I pretty much only pull for the short bois and currently have all of them so i always have a lot saved up and was able to get some other fontaine characters I also like (Neuvillette, Wriothesley and Furina) and even went for Lyneys bow (either way would have gotten a good bow for him so i took my chances on that weapon banner) since it looks like there won't be many more short bois during 4.x. In any case i always make sure i have at least 180 pulls saved up for any potential new 5* short boy, it often turns out to be a lot more though since they are pretty much the only characters i'm interested in.

I got who I was saving for: Wriohesley and I am fine with him at C1. So it’s not that difficult to resist the urge to pull on the limited banners, though I am on the fence about pulling for Furina atm.

Next on the list is Navia and her signature weapon (a freaking battle-axe) So I'm probably gonna reroll until I get her and then farm as many primo gems as possible until her banner ends to see if I can get her weapon as well...

There are some who suggests not to pull for whoever you want because your damage will be lower.. but for me just pull for whoever you want unless you wanna be sweaty and try those one shot clips you see.. if anything, you can pull for one very strong character that you don't necessarily like and have that character carry you through the content as you wait for the characters you really want.. I did it when I pulled for Neuvillette.. I don't particularly like the character but he's a strong one so I got him just to have easier time going through quests and exploration.. but I only get him to good enough and I don't even maximize his team.. I'm only using the normal resins when farming for materials and artifacts and saving all those fragile resins for future use..

I have a guaranteed 50/50 and 80 pity, along with 56 intertwined fates and more incoming. I'm in so much pain because I missed Neuvi and will miss Furina release but knowing that I can pull for them all if I save enough is good to know.

I'm actually saving for Murata...since the beginning of Sumeru. I haven't pulled for a character in over a year. Primo's stacked high and the only reason I don't quit from sheer apathy is the hope that the Pyro Arcon is going to be amazing.

Such a great video in many regards. And, yeah, there is average number of pulls you can spend getting a 5*, but also each individual case is different. You can definitely account for the law of averages, but, really, I had a 5* come in just 9 wishes and several who came at 80. And it's not incloding lost 50/50. Sure, if you recognise the risks and fine with it, it's ok to pull, but sometimes you just want to make sure you get precisely the character you've wanted

I saved for Zhongli for the longest time and I got him guaranteed as I was already at soft pity. Next after him was Neuvillette and I was able to get him c1 which was definitely worth it. I’m also good at grinding so I’m planning to get Cyno because I wanted him forever and if I can’t get him then I’ll go for Navia because of geo. It’s sad that I have to skip Furina and maybe Itto but I’ll have to do it for the characters I really like and need.

Thanks for the Copium, I really needed that. I am having regrets about not pulling for Neuvilette, and I am trying to make sensible choices for the upcoming releases and reruns. I really like Arataki Itto and heard he will be rerunning in the next couple of patches, but I also want Furina and Baizhu (and Navia, and Constellations on my C0 Raiden).

Thankfully I saved enough and got incredibly lucky with wriothesley and furina with one pull each so I can continue to save for the character I want

I actually did pull Rizzly despite saving for Arlecchino but I've already been saving for months, so I'm definitely still going to get the guarantee haha. I would like her constellations but if I can't get them now I'll get them in the future, I highly doubt there will be characters in the future regions I like as much as her. Not knowing what her constellations or weapon do for her kit is killing me. Also, I agree that if you're choosing between a new character and a rerunning character, there's benefits to pulling the character who is rerunning. You can prefarm for them more easily since HoYo might only give us access to upgrade mats for new characters at the same time as the character is released. Also, I've never understood why people would do that at all, or why it's even called that, the 'pity' exists regardless of whether your wishes are spent or not. A person who has 90 pulls isn't more likely to get a character if they spend 45 of those pulls early on. That whole topic is stupid.

IN FURINA WE TRUST. Also, building pity is a powerful tool if you know how to use it properly and you know when to stop. For example, one of the banners was XQ, Sucrose and Fishl if I remember correctly and built 50 pity on that banner, because I know that the characters on the banner I'm saving for will be crap.

At this point, I have multiple limited 5 stars but none of them with constellations except Zhongli C1 and Raiden C1. Recently pulled Neuvillette and his weapon so he is the only C0 R1 I have. Now I aim to have him at C6 just so that I can have one truly OP main DPS that I enjoy playing. It might take multiple reruns and a long time since I only buy Welkins and might pull for other characters but I'll see how it goes. And all the best to everyone pulling for Furina! So, i've been wanting ayato for a long time now, and i was pulling for furina recently, trying to get her when i decided to check the anouncements tab and found out ayato was coming in the next banner, so i decided to stop pulling for furina, now i'm at 70 pity, 50/50 guranteed and only 10 days away from my kamisato prince. My ayaka may finally enjoy the company of her brother.

A few months ago, i was saving for Yelan's constellations. But at the time, when her rerun happened, Navia came to the story. After i got to know Navia, my plan, to get more Yelan cons, was completely cancelled. If i remember it right, i haven't done a single pull since Yoimiya's banner in May/June. I want Navia so much. The only character, i will surely at least try to get before Navia will come, is Charlotte. There is a chance, that i will try to get Furina too, but i am still not sure. But if i will accidently get her, while trying to get Charlotte, i won't complain at all.

At this point I'm saving up for Furina's rerun because I'm starting to doubt I'll actually get her.

As an almost-f2p with bad Luck, that’s good advice. Here is what i do : plan in advance and prioritise, and for that I consider that each 5* will cost me 2x80= 160 wishes.

Came back to the game after waiting months for the hydro archon, stopped saving started wishing and came back to 0 pity on a 50/50 lmao in all honesty I guess I'll just save for the last 3 archons and just wait for the rest to rerun if theyre worth it. Really haven't been too invested in any unit since yelan and half way to c6 with her. Surprised to see she got power crept with novelete so potentially someone I'd get on a rerun

Now I’m on a guaranteed with more than enough wishes saved up and I’m STILL waiting… Honestly they better be so hype to be worth the effort or I am just gonna keep on saving for Natlan..

Just started playing about 5 days ago. Got ayato as my first 5 star yesterday. Currently going for his signature sword, after that I really have nothing I need. I want hu Tao cuz I knew about her before playing but I missed her this go around so I know it'll be a year anyway. Tbh I treat everything like it will be the worst rng possible. Hence why I was flabbergasted to get ayato at 30 pulls (especially after just having got 3 purple characters in the previous pull). Tbh tho I think I kind of have an advantage due to the fact I really don't care about playing most characters. Like I was pretty content to take razor all the way to the end game, then I did ayatos trial and immediately gasped at how fun and cool he is, like I did his trial 3 times because he was so fun. So I vowed I'd get him by the end of the month, I figured I have been getting about 10 pulls a day, 20 days x 10= 200 pulls therefore he was guaranteed. Then got him dummy early. I'm prepared to get unlucky on getting his weapon due to hard pity being 240 pulls for weapons. But I need my arsenal beefed up anyways.

I did pull for wriothesley and his c1 but i didn't know about clorinde beforehand but luckily she wont release until at least 4.5 probably later so i have plenty of time
