How long till your ex misses you and wants you back? Is it a month? Or is it 45 days, because... science?
The truth is that it's not a matter of time.
It's a matter of how much they value the emotional connection that the two of you had.
If they did not value the connection, then no amount of time is going to bring the two of you back together again.
So, please stop seeing No Contact as the one tool you have at your disposal.
The truth is that there are other things that you can do to move things in your favor.
If you want to learn how to know your ex wants you back, you have to look at the emotional connection. Does it need to be nurtured more? If there isn't much leverage that you have, emotionally over your ex, then, yes, you're going to need to do that, which is where the Advanced Relational Skills come in to play.

There are people out there who would no doubtingly respond to you if you reached out to them, but won't initiate the first contact themselves. It's a very common thing after a breakup.

I’ve watched all the different “company’s” or “relationships counselors” online that offer advice on getting your ex back or just trying to gain understanding of what they are going through... clays, you honestly seem like the most genuine, legit and informational one I’ve found. The rest bank on no contact and then we are left with... now what? Work on myself? Sure but then what after that... you’re awesome and thanks for freely putting out there for the masses.

I was in a 4 month relationship. Pretty good relationship honestly. Moved fast unfortunately. Been in NC since July 1. I believe I was the rebound. She's back with her ex. FB picture updates prove that. Kinda confused. Active NC has been wonders. Feeling good honestly. Wondering if I should just forget everything and move on

The time it takes for your ex to come back is something you can't put a time on, as every relationship breakup are different, as their journey back to you shouldn't be rushed they will come back to you if they want to be with you and if they ended the relationship then they shouldn't be pushed to you if they are wanting to get back together with you, time will work everything out

Hey clay, do you offer one on one paid counseling? I’ve watched almost all your basic videos(not really advanced yet), but thanks to your guidance I’ve made it to the point where my ex is initiating a lot of the conversation, but then will randomly pull back. Mainly, I feel like I’m at the point my knowledge level has gotten to its plateaued. Shes conversing and wants to hangout this coming weekend... but it’s that riding the dragon. So it’s the grey area where I could either screw this up or guide it over the other side. However, now it’s in that riding the dragon stage where she opens up, we have good convo, and then gone, then back again the next day. Mainly I don’t have a clue to break that cycle. My brain defaults back to I’m uncomfortable with it because I’m so use to her making me her main priority. In turn I want to chase it over do things to keep that positivity going, but then pull back myself. So it’s this back n forth affect by both of us because I don’t know how to move things forward. I can tell she still has really strong feelings but her actions/words are also showing she’s moving on hence, she’s moving. Yet, just ended a great conversation. Thanks! Keep up the great videos

I just realized.. Coach It has been a year of watching your videos means a year of long distance breakup I have realized. What can i do in this long distance breakup after I change and I don't know how to establish a communication platform with nothing in mind I can bring up to talk about... I know why my ex is completely ignoring me for the past three months, I wasn’t meeting her emotional needs towards the end of the relationship and would always make up excuses when she asked me to move in with her because I was scared that it might not work although I really loved her I just didn’t show her the love she deserved and now I’m left with this heavy burden and it’s eating me alive knowing I’ll never hear a word from her again....I’ve been going through a lot this year and I would ignore her messages a lot because I didn’t really like talking about the crap I was dealing with .....

She broke things off in may after a few months of dating saying she needed time and space to figure out what she wants. Didn’t hear from her for 3 1/2 months. Came back and said that she doesn’t think we should get back together right now and that she wants to stay in contact tho. We hungout some over the last couple months since we go to the same college. Still adamant on that she doesn’t want a relationship right now and is communicating isn’t pushing us apart but isn’t really bringing us together. So I don’t really know what to do. We still talk everyday but Idk if I should go total N.C. till she comes back. Or doesn’t

If she asks you something, then just reply with an answer and that all. Don’t continue but just reply her question and that all. Do your own things and show her that you’re doing well without her. Do not always say yes to hanging out with her, have your own things to do.

Hey Dexter, if you do Active No Contact, make sure that you do it for yourself and not just to get her back. Take the Active No Contact period to learn the Advance Relational Skills and heal from the breakup. ANC can be an opportunity to gain your own emotional balance back. This process is not just about our ex but it is about developing a healthy relationship with our own self as well.

Dont reach out 💯 The ball is in her court, so let her reach out first 💯💯 Always remember that SHE dumped YOU; therefore she should be the one who comes back 💯 Work on yourself as much as possible and let time work her 💯💯💯 She is expecting you to reach out to feed her ego 💯💯

Hi Darksonic, it sounds like your ex's wall of reactance is still quite high for now. Remember that this is a process that you both have to go through. Try to continue doing Active No Contact until you have reached the Effortless Connection phase and is detached to any form of outcome.

Question. If your ex is saying things like we are never getting back together or why don't you move on with your life with no reason for them to say that especially since its been over a year and you've done nothing to try and get them back is that them projecting that they still aren't over you? I have zero interest in getting back with her and it's bothering me that she says these things, I find it's better to spend the energy into finding a new relationship than on a past one. So I'm just trying to understand if this is her still not moving on.

There was a disconnect for some time and then my EX went into a rebound relationship after one of her girlfriends told her I was looking for someone else. I wasn't aware of this. NC for 5 months now. Now I am not sure if what I'm getting are breadcrumbs. She states on her IG profile she is in a "difficult" relationship along with a pic of her where I was the photographer. This is a long distance relationship.

@@ClayAndrews No. There was never closure. The issues we had were never discussed. I believe the "difficult" relationship she mentions on IG is ours. I'm not sure what the status is about her rebound relationship. Today is her birthday.

Hi Clay, what do you do, if after over a year since the break up (with pleading, begging ex to come back, getting her gift), she blocks me. We haven't texted properly since the break up (no actual conversations, no F2F meet-ups). Just blocked, even though I've definitely changed for the better. Am I too hung up emotionally, or does this mean there is really no longer any chance? It's a pretty dire situation. Tks for ur advice.

Blocking over social media can still not be the ultimate sign that things are really over. I guess the lack of communication in the dynamics needs to be improved on to understand where you both at emotionally in this given moment.

Your videos make me feel hopeful about me and my ex bf or sometime just me.I m going through breakup and its been really hard for me. i got dumped for no special reasons and it has been 3 weeks. I did no contact for 2 weeks ( our relationship was only 3 months long ) and i texted him and he replied back to me in nice way but i just step back constantly so i dont seem desperate because he did say the reason why we ended is because i kept annoying him with serious questions ( i did beg and plead when he dumped me ) and i want to ask you something. Can i build an emotional connection without any contact ? We are still friends on facebook. he checks my my days everytime. is it good to post things thatd make him think of our time together or plans we made together ? Also , we have a huge age gap. he's 28 i am 20. is age going to effect us? Please help me Clay. I look up to u alot 🥺

Hi Khin, communication is essential in building emotional connection. If your ex's wall of reactance is still high, it is best to prepare your self with the Advanced Relational Skills. Your age gap is not that significant but it's the maturity of being handling the relationship will make more impact.

Haven't heard from ex in a month and a half. This morning she found out my mom had passed away so she said shes sorry to her about it and asked if I'm ok told her yea im good and asked are you sure and I said yes and she said ok. The reasons she gave me to as why she ended things were simple to change like spend more time with her. Dress nice for her help around the house more stuff like that. But I found out a bit later by the guy shes with now his ex told me all that was a lie and that the guy conned her in leaving me for him so I thought no wonder why she didn't let me change things its bc of they guy talking her into leaving me

Ask him why he broke up in the first place and what has changed since then. Love is an emotion, but at this point, you need a rational reason why it might work out this time.

Hi Rita, there's a difference by showing that he wants for both of you to get back together (which may how you perceive the dynamics) as compared to if he said that he wanted to get back together. These are the two different side that you have to be aware of.

So, I didn’t get it. NC is powerful, but when is it ok to break it? My ex bf left me a little over a month ago. It was a LDR and I just came back from visiting him and three days later he broke up with me. I was so in shock that I hardly respond to what he was saying. I decided not to contact him, but should I or should I keep the NC?

Hi Clay, I was in two months no contact with my ex. I messaged her after a storm hit her place just to see how she is. We ended up talking casually until just a bit passed midnight. She was still firm with her decision with the breakup and I told her I respect it, but I still disagree with breakup. She contacted me the next day to ask something for work. After that we have not contacted each other. Is it too late?

If we disagree with the breakup, it is like we are not respecting their wishes for space. But her asking for something that is work related is a different story. I am not sure what your ex is asking for but is it something that you are comfortable doing for her?

He’s right. If we miss someone is because of the connection and the times we’ve had with that person, and not necessarily the length of time. No contact doesn’t always work and sometimes it can backfire. And this is just my opinion but somebody really needs to clean up those shards of broken glass. LOL

My ex broke up with me because I disrespected our trust i was caught in cos piracy of cheating because I had downloaded tinder and I tried to break NC after 1.5 months apologized many times after the break up and she said we need more time it’s been 3 months and haven’t heard from her I know she misses me and probably feels the way I do we had a very close relationship for years should I try to contact again I have been working on myself alot to not repeat my mistakes.
