In game months, the test was conducted with 3 day seasons so each day is a month in game

According to my own test grass will yield 50%more if you wait an extra day(3 instead of 2). The map will show the same ready to harvest state but the foliage will change optically from dark green to a slightly lighter green and the grass grows. So it is just like in FS19 where grass can be harvested a bit early only that in FS22 there is no difference shown on the map.

If you look on the explanation portion of the Seasonal Growth tab under seasons it says "Turns on a growth calendar that adheres to the seasons and the WITHERING of plants." You should not have had any withering once you turned off your Seasonal growth. Hope it makes more sense.

From my own experiences I have 2 saves going one with seasons growth and one without, the one with seasons growth uses the withering function on crops playing without seasons growth will just leave your crops on a ready to harvest state. If I remember correctly you have 2 or 3 days of time before the crops need to be harvested with seasons growth on before it withers.

I’ve heard people say that their crops were still withering with seasons turned off. I just bought this game and I can definitely say I’m insanely disappointed with it, the growth time is far too long for a casual player as myself so I sure hope that they add some settings for casual players who just like to have fun and make some money. This game feels like a dammed sleep simulator it’s so awful imo.

Out of curiosity, is it possible the withering on those crops was triggered by seasonal growth before you turned it off? There are so many new details to figure out right now that it feels like constant test right now. I’m loving the new changes but I have seen how much of a challenge this is for new players to figure out.

@@daveb4210 Yes, but those are NPC fields. I'd guess that turning seasons off only keeps *your* crops from withering.

I'm inclined to agree - either the crop passed its harvest window or the new game started with the crop already withered - when you start a game seasons is on, and is effective until the end of the first day. If you change to 3 day months, then August still runs 1 day, September will start as 3 days.

I guess I am the only one that still plants Oilseed Radish. I use it because I watched your video on it along time ago. Saves tons of money for a little added time. FYI Shows as last growth stage after you plant and ready to harvest after 1 day. Thanks again for the great videos 🚜

I think turning the seasons off switches withering off. I have 2 canola fields on The French Plain map that went from the final Growing status to Withered with no harvest day in between even though I am still in Canola harvest season.

OK, I have a weird, never experienced issue with my crops. They're growing, but you can't see them. NO visual growth coming out of the ground, but the info on the field is it's almost ready for harvest (ie dark green). Going to be quite difficult to harvest when I can't see the plant LOL NO, restarting the game didn't help.

So I just got a contract for harvesting potatos on Hautt on field 30. I went to check it in the map to see where it's at if I wanted to do it, and I noticed it's withered??? so that's interesting.

they grow in months, had my months at 10 days each and was sitting in game for 2 hours waiting for my sugar beets to grow (I’m still waiting)

I ran into withering in fs19. I found if I left it for x amount of time before changing the setting it will wither and I wouldn't have noticed till after I changed the no wither setting

I would put a reminder that this DOES NOT include the month of planting. So while grass, as an example, takes 2 months to become ready to hatvest, that is three months if you include the month you plant in.

i'm giving it a crack on ps5, looks like you can only have withering off if you turn seasons off. I get the feeling that to include casual gamers a little better, they'll make withering a separate option at some point

Technically its monthly, so if you run 2 day months double the amount of days it will take

I'm stuck on wood chipping... lol. I spent 2 hours cutting down trees. Took 2 trees to fill the chipper the forestry package recommended, but I can't figure out how to unload my chips into a trailer afterwards. Lol.... not without driving clear out to the sawmill every 2 trees. 😂

@@midnightfarmer382 I realised the “days per season” was the reason for this try setting it on one day per season and then use the house to sleep 5 days! Then check the growth of your crops! 👍

Ok for me withering occurs every night. I had two fields that just reached harvest state late in day one. The very next day they were withered. That was with season turned on. Means playing a 1 day season is risky. Withering without an ability to turn it off renders the game unplayable. There is no such thing as withering on real life after it reaches harvest state. You can leave it all winter and harvest in the spring.

I wouldn't call it unplayable... i have been playing with seasons turned on and one day months from the beginning. You just have to harvest during that one day. You can slow your days down to 0.5 so you have more time.

Grass wont wither, and if something isnt growing make sure growing isnt set to off in the settings

Seasons it wont matter because you have to plant/harvest in specific months so to know how long it will take simply look at the seasonal growth calendar

yes grass and sugarcane never need to be replanted. but they do need fertilized to keep 100%

@@stimpyueediot hey another quick question since you seem to know stuff...is there a way to store slurry? If so, how? I've got a liquid manure tank/pit...I think that's right but I am not positive.

@@tristanheisler1004 yes slurry is "liquid Manure" and there are the slurry tanks like the Polycis 1550 that you can use to fill up. I do not store it though. I have a slurry spreader that i keep parked next to the cow pin and i transfer it into the trailer everyday and when it is full i drive it out to the fields and use it to fertilize the fields. free fertilizer. you can also buy a biogas plant to make other stuff with it.

@@tristanheisler1004 if you take it to elm creek you just sale the product. if you buy elm creek or your own, then you turn the slurry into dry fertilizer or whatever else it makes.

I sold 24 bales each 5500 L, price was 395 for 1000 L so i should get like 52000 $. Each time i get different amount, 44k once, last i got 10 k so i wonder what is wrong here. Thank you

Why... just why did they take out the option for crop growth speed that was in every game until now??? Just so frustrating how these companies always think it is a good idea to take away a key option out of games. Flood the forum about this so they see it put it back in the game!

If you play this on xbox, the game is so bugged down and useless wait to purchase. It's a disaster. Nothing grows properly, jobs the calculation of jobs being done is useless when you drop grain off its gone and you're only at 87% with no crop left. Disaster.
