Shoreh Aghdasloo, an Iranian actress often plays with a thick accent, and unique voice, and she is one of the more complex heroes in the Canadian shot TV Show, THE EXPANSE. 2:10-2:24 - about accents - this is equally true, perhaps even more significant in the United Kingdom about the perceived intelligence of a person depending on his or her regional accent.

This varies a lot with each individual. Some people lose their accents, other don't.

@@ChristiInCanada Bonus that that movie also has broadway singer and Handsome Aussie Hugh Jackman, as the villain. But then again, that film was directed by South African Neill Blomkamp, playing around with various tropes and ideas of the genre. I just discovered your channel and have been enjoying your take on the Calgary/Canadian experience.

Some of us are better at being *parrots.* I lost my Sarth Efrikin eksent rather quickly, and I cannot get it back. I sound like most English speakers from the western half of North America.
