I like how GRRM even made a pretty rotten person like Maegor into a three-dimensional character. He did a lot of awful things, but the stuff with the faith militant was necessary (to maintain Targaryen rule, at least, and whether that’s a good or bad thing can be argued).

Maegor might have been a psychopath, but at least he actually got shit done. He did what his brother was too afraid to do. Also after watching S5/S6 of GOT, whose complaining? The Faith are a bunch of assholes, burning their Sept was justified.

Yes exactly my thoughts... I really wish house Targaryen recognise the deeds of visenya and maegor... By saving house Targaryen from the threats of hightower and faith... Sadly house Targaryen were too weak to acknowledge them...
