Excellent podcast. How about restarting the career after a break of 5 years and for a re-entry into IT. Example- how about IT security or a migration of virtual environment to hybrid cloud?

I have around 10 years of experience in Web Development but I don't have any certifications. I am transitioning into cloud and am looking to focus on AWS and DevOps...So my plan was to gather the foundational and associate certs for AWS along with the DevOps cert and Security cert...then get the Terraform cert and the Kubernetes certs (cloud native, app developer, security) since they are used in DevOps pipelines a lot. I also want to get an Azure and Oracle cert as well since Wells Fargo and Oracle are two of the biggest companies in my area and are MultiCloud. Originally I was just going to just get the Developer certs of each cloud provider since my skillset and experience mostly come from being a Frontend Developer, though I keep hearing from teachers that getting a few of the foundational along with the Associate certs helps with your overall understanding instead of just picking just one... I have the AWS CCP and The AZ-900 scheduled for June and I plan to strive to take the AWS certs every few months after that starting with the Developer. If I build up momentum taking them and things dont get too crazy in life, I will study for the Terraform and Kubernetes certs this year...otherwise I will push them off until next year...Though I may just do the AWS Dev and then transition to the K8 and Terraform, but we will see.
