Ralph, i do alot of embarrassing stuff in public just for the sake of comedy and to make people laugh!!!! But that final Bat ride, in my neighborhood and in the public streets where cars and motorcycles were passing by me in the opposite direction, was the most embarrassing thing i’ve done in public in a long time!!!! 😂😂😂 I didn’t like how my buddy Dirty Dave filmed me while riding. Real cool!!! Yeah i often roll off the throttle after a steady period of run time at high speed, they say that’s supposed to help with oil pressure and flow, to left off, then get back on it!!!! That comes straight from the 1940 Flathead manual by Harley!!! And yes your like me, took me 30 years as well, and i missing the knuck and the pan, but the panhead will be coming soon!!! 👍🍺

Believe me,i am scared to ride the Flathead at night!!! I never intended to ride that late!! But stupid me stayed too long at that bar!! I just had to suck it up and deal with the consequences, of my stupid choices!!! 👍🍺 SLICK

Well terry recommending a brand is hard say for a couple reasons. First you gotta decide what type of rear brakes you wanna run. For my brother’s build, i wanted to run the original mechanical drum brake set-up, To keep it sorta period original and vintage looking over modern disc brake, which i know works much better, that’s also why im running a mini drum brake on the front rim for him. Cause if you run a rear disc brake set up, i don’t believe in running any brakes in the front!!! Just my personal opinion. So my options were limited in finding a weld on hardtail that accommodated the original rear brake drum set up. But the only place that did was low brow , at least they offered a bolt on option , Woulda preferred a weld on one, like my chopper, But to keep the vintage look, beggers can’t be choosers!!! So like i just said with my 79 ironhead chopper it already had disc brake in the rear so i went with the low brow weld on hard tail, but low brow didn’t sell a hard tail option for the 79 back then, but they did sell a voodoo customs weld on hard tail that i bought- it was a lot more work, but i got it done worked great!! BUT NOW low brow came out with a weld on hard tail for the 79!!!!! I like low brow as a whole, but all the big chopper parts companies sell their own versions!!! Tc bros, throttle addiction, and led sled customs!! Did you know the year of ironhead you buying yet?
