I hope you read this Rachel. 5 minutes ago I gave my dog a frozen pig foot for the first time in her life (she’s a lab-pit, 8 years). I watched your video and followed your instructions. Her back teeth are incased in yellow tartar, so I let her chew for 10 minutes. She was soooo happy, it brought tears to my eyes. Then I checked her gums for blood, because I saw blood on the pig’s foot. To my absolute amazement the entire casing of yellow tartar was gone - GONE, and I could see the white tooth underneath. Bloody marvelous. In 2 days a have a dentist appointment with her. I will still take her, she does need a cleaning, but I will keep up the raw frozen bone technique that I learned from you. Thank you and bless you forever 😊

The random dispensing of treats, when is starting to face off of treats, is so vital. People forget that part. But it has been proven to be very effective.

Thanks for the advice. You’re right there are other ways to train dogs besides the treats. I gave my 1 year old about two a day to reward them when they listen.

I’d love to be able to find so much variety of clean treats. In Chile there’s not that many options. My favorite treats I have to buy and cut/mince myself and not only it gets expensive, but it’s time consuming 😭. Do you have diy recipes that don’t use fillers such as oats and flours?

I took my puppy to all positive dog training, and I couldn't believe the number of treats they expected you to give your puppy ,I didn't complete the course it was all just so silly in the end my puppy didn't even want them , I only use occasional very tasty treats I find that works well because it means something

In your live video with Dana Scott , she mentioned to avoid lentils and chick pea in dog’s food. I have been feeding Farmer’s dog to my dog since he was 1 and now he is almost 4 . It’s one of the food you recommend too that has both lentils and chickpea as one of the ingredients . Now I am worried if I should feed it to him or not . Any thoughts or suggestions?

I’ve always been told males have less health issues because of the reproductive parts, but want to get a female! Would love to hear your opinion

Hi Rachel, can you help me understand how the moisture content comes into play on the guaranteed analysis? I feed OC raw patties sometimes and it says 16% min protein and 74% moisture. Does that mean it’s under required protein or does the water content change it. I’m confused since the Ingredients are over raw 90% meat.

Even the guide dog schools, some of them, are caught up in this treat thing. They give a treat for every little thing. Drives me crazy. I refuse. It's been way over done and then suddenly people wonder why their dog won't do anything unless they have a treat in their hand. Basic dog training is hard to find nowadays.

Such great advice! What do you suggest for allergy remedies to take for my dogs? My Vet suggested Benadryl and I don’t know if it is the best thing for them to take(my dogs are 16 & 19 pounds).

For allergy dog treats, it of course depends on what they tolerate best. I have had a ton of success with these duck treats (they're single ingredient and duck is a novel protein, great for allergies) and they are pretty small! Here they are: amzn.to/3yEvovx. I give my dogs pawfy probiotics and no more scratching or rubbing her body all over the floor and no more paw licking. Signs of allergies.
