How many veneers should I get? My answer is 10!
Let me tell you why! It’s not about trying to sell my patients or get them to spend more money. It’s all about making sure my patients get their very best results. I frequently recommend 10 veneers because it gives my patients the most flexibility and customization possible with their smile.
But why 10? When a person smiles, you typically see their 10 upper teeth. With 10 veneers, you cover every tooth in a smile so that your teeth look even and symmetrical from all angles.
How about 2-4? With 2-4 veneers, we have to match the color and shape of the natural teeth. This often limits our ability to make any major changes or improvements to the smile. We can achieve great results, but your smile will still look very much like it did when you can in, just with the “problem areas” improved.
How about 6? 6-veneer smile transformations are the easiest to spot and often for NOT good reasons. By doing only 6 veneers, you are stopping the veneers right where the teeth transition from the front to the back. If you want a wider smile, your veneers would stick out beyond your molars. If you want a brighter smile, the veneers will likely be too bright to match the molars. As a rule of thumb, I steer my patients away from 6 veneers.
For these reasons and more, the magic number for veneers is 10! Not sure if you believe me? Come see me for a test drive where I mock-up your potential smile and I’ll show you what’s possible first hand! I promise you’ll notice a difference! No matter your budget or goals, I’ll make sure you get your dream smile!
