My dad was in the restaurant industry for 15 years, this is all absolutely true keep food separate, keep everything clean and wash your hands properly

Working (i.e., collaborating) with restaurants to gain compliance is totally fine - we call it coaching in foodservice - AS LONG AS inspectors remember their primary charge and responsibility is to protect the public health, not the brand/image of restaurants inspected. I’ve seen firsthand how jurisdictions prioritize collaborative efforts above documentation of violations. Bottom line, the public expects - and frankly deserves - a well documented thorough inspection report so THE PUBLIC can then decide where to/not to spend their hard earned money.

Getting a little tired of “health inspectors” telling me I shouldn’t be eating raw chicken. That’s how God intended it and I’m not about to go against the creator.
