Marvel's Phase 4 was BAD!! MCU Phase 4 was Trash!! You might have heard this many times, and in this video, I have done analysis of Marvel's Phase 4 and their controversial "M SHE U" approach, which aimed to showcase a multitude of women superheroes.
We'll explore how the studio's execution of this concept may have contributed to dwindling box office earnings and a barrage of critical backlash.

Agreeed. Thats what i said in video. Women representation of great female superheroes is necessary, and Marvel was right to bring on new characters. But writing was TRASH!! The writers were trying to make everything about women forcefully and it was totally illogical. That is the problem.

Wanda Vision was a decent (good) show which if wasfollowed correctly was Multiverse of Madness it could have given Scarlet Witch a proper character arc. Wakanda Forever was in my opinion just non-sensical as although it gave it's tribute to Chadwick Boseman, they really couldn've find a better execution. They also could've set up Riri's character much more like Kate Bishop from Hawkeye which seemed more natural taking up the legacy of Iron man (they just dropped her in the movie with no previous references) Love and Thunder was trash. It completely destroyed Thor's character and one of the "greatest" marvel comic book villain. Multiverse of Madness wasted it's potential. It's really a lost opportunity by Marvel which they could've used to introduce Mutants, Xmen, Inhumans, Multiverse etc directly. They also could've connected this with Loki and Endgame as Dr Strange was the one who saw the different possibilities. I haven't watched Ms Marvel but She Hulk was no better. Eternals was a pretty good stand alone movie which introduced new characters but they left if at a cliffhanger and never mentioned them AGAIN in mcu (like wtf) Apart from this Loki, Moonknight, No way Home and Shang Chi were all great 🙌

I could be wrong here cause I watched this show a while ago but I guess, 4:10 she is implying here the sacrifice of letting go of the family Wanda built there at Westview, with Vision and their children, her brother. Even though it was wrong, which she understood at the end of the show and she released them from her spell. Wandavision was perfect for me; it showed the character development of Wanda through sitcom-like episodes and showed us her way of dealing with guilt and trauma. And ended the show with a positive note through one of my favorite quotes from Vision: "What is grief, if not love persevering?"

Bro, vision and their children, her brother, all were figments of her imagination. They were not real. She kept REAL people in her spell and tortured them. At one point, she says "maybe, i am a villain", so she totally knew what she was doing...but then show writers changed whole script and made her the victim!! Even if we consider she was doing things unknowingly, that doesn't make her a good person. There were times when she knew Westview people wanted their real life back but she CHOSE to keep them in mind control. my biggest issue was that they should have added a scene where she actually shows sadness and remorse for being such a bad person towards Westview people.

@@PopCulturePandit she didn't know what she was doing, I mean if you will have those powerful magical power and after losing everything, you will obviously become out of control and that was what happening to her, she didn't know she was torturing them but when she realised it, she instantly freed them, only because you think they were not real, they were real to her and she also didn't wanted to lose everything once again

@@Aman-yx3ne She knew EXACTLY what she was doing. She tells the FBI guy, "stay out of her way" when he tells her you have captured the entire town. In one episode, she also tells Monica that, "she might be the villain"!! But then in final episode it is shown that....when she kept westview people in her control, she actually believed that she was keeping them "safe". REALLLY??? what kinda logic is that? you have literally taken a human's life away; and kept them away from their families by being inside their heads. How can you think that you are doing them a favour by keeping them safe..like what?? hahaha thats just nonsensical. Also, her sons were imaginary. they were not real. and tumhare liye kuch chiz "real" he to tum kuch bhi karogey kya?? also, why do you think she wanted to go into another multiverse in DS2MoM?? because there were REAL kids in another universe. Wanda is a great character but they totally messed up her story in WandaVision.

@@PopCulturePandit Even though those people (Vision,...) were her imagination, for her, they were very real. She was suffering so much that she created her own world in the form of a sitcom that she used to watch when she was a child, and by doing that, she unknowingly hurt the people in Westview. My take from the show is that they tried to show her journey after Endgame and how she was coping with grief after losing Vision. It's not a question of whether she is a good person or not; it's the ending when she finally realizes that what she was doing was very wrong. And when Vision convinced her to move on with a beautiful message that he told her... and then she decided to sacrifice everything because she is not a villain, that's when her character really developed. That's the character development I absolutely loved. But then they threw all of it in the gutter in the multiverse of madness.

@@PopCulturePandit she never said that she was keeping them safe, but she was out of her control, she didn't realised what she was doing but when she did, she freed them, she is a very emotional character, Tumhare Liye vo real chij Nahi Hai To Kya uske liye bhi nahi hogi!? uske liye vo family family Ki Tarah hi thi bhale hi chahe vo imaginary Ho, she was emotionally connected to them and she didn't wanted to lose them again, that's why when she realised that she was keeping a whole town Hostage, she didn't freed them because she was emotionally attached to her family but at last she did, so why are you so hyper?! it's just a show!!

I never watch this type of "MSHEU" gimmick video because they feel extremely mysogynistic and hate mongering. I only watched this one because I love your content and watch all of your videos. MCU is the franchise that is absolutely dear to me, and obviously, the post-Covid era hurt this franchise a lot when they flooded us with mediocre shows and movies, but in no way can we blame the female characters for this; it's the overall storyline and poor direction. In recent shows and movies, there are obvious flaws, but people are using this to cause unnecessary hate on them. Even the movies before the Endgame, you can do nitpicking on them. But at the end of the day, people have different opinions, and I respect yours.
