It would be more factual to say; It is the hormones that betrayed you. When hormones shapes a mind and a body, that doesn’t correspond with your mind or identity it can cause body dismorphia. That starts with hormones, that then changes your mind. Hormones came before mind 😊

Trans men menstruate because they have a uterus and v*gina (censoring because KZfaq might take down my comment otherwise). Cisgender men do not menstruate, because they do not have a uterus. I'm not sure how it works with intersex people who have a uterus but not a v-gina, but for most people, that's where it comes out. Hopefully that makes sense to you; let me know if you have any questions! :)

Having a period says everything about being a woman. Nothing else to be said. Please talk to real men. Birth Control pills also can cause cancer, fibroids and other issues. I’m a dude and my menstruation is horrible! I get the worst cramps and my breasts are sore for a week. Then the bleeding from my bum doesn’t stop. It’s unreal. The baby I gave birth to a few months ago really bugs me when I breast feed him. I’m sure it will all pass eventually.

i get that there are people suffering from these problems. there are also people suffering from disabilities like autism, adhd, depression, physical disabilities. how come we treat just this one disability like the people are kings and queens, going to the lengths of prioritising their choice of what public bathroom they want to use over that of the other 99% of the public. respect all people, be kind to all people, and help out where you can. you would help a blind person across the street, so dont call someone a girl if they asked you to call them a guy, thats just the level of human decency that i think everyone is expected to show one another. but to treat one kind of problem as deserving of 100% attention and try to change everything in the world around one disorder to make it the norm, this is reaching cult like behaviour

I agree. Trans inclusion is the number 1 priority of the U.S. right now. Homelessness, poverty, economic disparity, housing crisis, etc are all on the back burner. The reality is this: if we give into the demands of a minority of left minded progressive folks, we should expect the same from the right. Radical Fundamentalist Christianity is a minority view that could make its way into government, just like the trans objectives. We must be careful with allowing minority views to hold such power.

Coming from a transgender person, it’s not a disability. It’s not a choice, but it is different to all of the things you’ve listed. Why do you have to take hormones, please remind me? If you are a woman, then you naturally produce them on your own, especially when you are young as you are. Do hormones give you uterus? And if not, how can your non-existing uterus bleed? Is now the definition of menstruation up to be changed for people who fantasize about being a woman? Is there a higher risk of cancer in taking regularly hormones especially when they are bioactive/ unconjugated from natural occurring proteins? People I have known have felt that way, and I have lost a trans neighbor that way.

Trans women don't menstruate because they don't have a uterus. Sometimes hormone therapy can give them PMS-esque symptoms, but there is no bleeding, so it's not a period. However, trans men and some non-binary or intersex people have periods if they have a uterus. Nobody is changing the definition of menstruation, don't worry. We're just redefining how we think about it because it's not just a women's issue.

Someone who is nonbinary does not identify as a man or a woman or finds fluidity within the spectrum. Transmasculine refers to the fact that they, while still being non-binary, tend to feel more aligned with a masculine gender expression while having been assigned female at birth. So they're still not a man, but they lean towards the masculine side of the spectrum. Hope this can help you out :)

I may have missed it but I don't think the video said otherwise? PMS *symptoms* can occur in anyone if they have enough estrogen, but you need a uterus to actually menstruate. EDIT: ok I see they said that the hormonal fluctuation is a cycle. That's technically true, but it's only a hormonal cycle. Not a menstrual cycle like people born female experience.

Nobody loves menstruation. When I was a girl and I started I was embarrassed, and hated it. But I adjusted because I realised this showed I was healthy and healthy women menstruate. Of course some girls hate their bodies which is sad and gender dysphoria should be treated as a mental health issue, it's like anorexia, another type of body dysphoria. Indulgence if that delusion causes more harm than good in the long term.

Nobody loves having a menstrual cycle. The reason it (often, not always) sucks more for trans people is that they experience a truckload of gender dysphoria on top of everything else. It's such an awful feeling, I'm not even sure how to describe it. But dysphoria sometimes causes me intense physical pain, which is distinctly different from any cramps or aches I get in the PMS package deal.

Although deeply disturbing, one thing is abundantly clear in these messages. Trans people are deeply self-absorbed. Everything revolves around them, and their self-perceived grievances and issues. I have cancer, and it is a big issue in my life, but i dont force my issue to be a forced topic on anyone in my universe. I wish they would go deal with "their cancer" in a more private way!
