With everything that is going on in the world, Covid19, riots and protests you have given me so much hope for the future of our existence. It was pretty interesting to see how much detail is involved with transferring milk from your farm to the trucks. Safety seems to be very high on the list of priorities and that is comforting. Again I also see how much care you give your ladies. Having supplies restocked by a company seems pretty efficient. Thanks for giving recognition to the truckers that serve your farm. You are a really nice young man and thanks for sharing this video.

I'm a Milk hauler in the states. I've picked up Milk in Phoenix, Az and currently in Tillamook , Oregon. I really liked that driver! He looked and acted professional and he was knowledgeable about his professional and he seemed really happy about it. I also have to say that your farm and , especially your milkroom look fantastic! In phoenix I picked up at only one megadairy and it was a beautiful milk house. Now in Tillamook, I can visit 20 different smaller farms in a week and they dont care very much about appearance or keeping a clean milk house. It can be very frustrating to immediately be covered in mud and poop just from your first stop and you still have another 8 farms and 12 hours left to go. But I love seeing the farms and talking with the farmers. Most of the ones today are second and third generation on the farm and they are just good people and would give you the shirt off their backs. I'm blessed to be able to deal with them and be paid to do it.

Thanks Jan! I asked you to hit this topic several months ago. as I wondered what came next. As kids, we used to visit our uncle who was a dairy farmer in Michigan, We saw some of the processes. We knew (in later years) he had a line that led from the barn to a pasteurizing building; but we never really learned about what happened there, or the process of the milk truck. Your barn setup and milk truck process is so smooth and sanitary! Thanks for staying up late to give us this view. I'm often up to 2 or 3 in the morning; and I am reminded that you farmers have "hit the hay" much earlier. You're great. Blessings to you and the family!

Hi, You're parents are so lucky to have you and your sister so interested in dairy farming. Evidently your father "taught" you well instead of just using you for cheap labor. Glad to see that you have a career in life that will hopefully last a lifetime. My old farm was just 30 cows on a 136 acre farm in NY, like everything, I got older and couldn't do all the work. I'm so jealous of your barns and equipment. I love the idea that you seem to truly enjoy the farm. When I first started watching your videos I was not impressed with that backwards hat business. But, i saw the vid where you explained why you wear it backwards. So, now I understand that you are not just some wise *** kid. and that you have a truly remarkable head on your shoulders for someone so young. Anyway, I wish you and your family all the best with your beautiful farm

@Michael Smith My extended family are farmers and although when working for parents when a person is a young adult may not always be well paid, if everything is managed right eventually the farm is either handed down or bought from the parents by the children who may wish to continue the tradition. My aunt & uncle owned a potato farm here in Canada and two of their five children bought the farm out with their spouses. My cousins did a magnificent job when they got it as they bought brand-new equipment and new root cellars, organized it, etc. Now that we're all getting close to retirement age, my cousins have like-wise begun to sell and hand off the farm to their children as well. I'm glad they take a couple samples of milk on Jan's farm to be 100% sure because my cousins ended up having to go to court regarding a single contaminated soil sample and over the years the inspectors still can't reproduce the results. Do you think my cousins got any damages from the Canadian Inspection Agency? Nope! It took YEARS for them to restore their reputation. I'm surprised that at the end of the day Jan's farm doesn't take a milk sample for their own back-up. I am sure the milk trucker is a great guy, but I've seen in my own industry where you get multiple mistakes on different ends. It never hurts to do three samples two for the milk trucker that he takes and one for the farmer to keep long term dated, stamped and put in a fridge or freezer.

We also have bigger trucks that hold 48 000 liters on two trailers and hose reels for winding in the milk hose

Another great video. Thanks for sharing another part of your daily routines. I shared this chapter with my youngest granddaughter today. She's a city kid, but interested in what you are doing (as am I). I agree with Michael Smith's comments. It is very good that you and your sister are into farming, and especially dairy farming which is a 7 day a week job. Blessings to you, your family, and your crew. Stay safe, and stay strong from the retired pastor in Davenport, Iowa.

Well done Harding family.. That's how everyone should teacher their kids to be responsible at the young age. Not acting kid at the age of 25 instead of helping family out. Keep doing the hard work man....
