Huge fan of the content man, across the board. It's incredibly refreshing to view trading content where the creator isn't trying to sell a prop firm, signals, journaling software, a course, etc. - aka, the business they make most of their money from, lol. Cheers to you.

Found this channel recently, great content, keep up the good work man. Agree that the latter half of this year has been very slow/sluggish, pretty much brought my Mean Reversion Strategy to a standstill, so have had to rapidly adapt and evolve a new strategy. Glad to see someone else noticed this too!

I just found you today and find your content very refreshing. Like someone mentioned a few comments down, no sales hype, no gimmicks, plugs or course to sign up for. You're appreciated. You mentioned a share sizing video that was supposed to be linked below but I don't see one. Could you link it for me? By the way, I see you're in CA, I'm in AZ so we have some of the same issues. I just figured out yesterday how to have multiple clocks on my desktop, one with East Coast Time. Kudos on the content, I'm enjoying it, AND learning.... which is really the point. Continue to Keep It Simple Sir.

I swing traded for 4 years risking 400 bucks. The most I brought my account to was 6,000 and they it would dwindle down. Now each trade I'm risking thousands but my exposure is minutes and no longer trying to make 500 percent return. I'm trying to barely make 50% and thas enough. Been doing it for 3 months and only trade 3 times per week. Made 16 k so far.....in conclusion I think time exposure and being content with what you make (in other words stop being so greedy) is very important too. It's better to start with a 4k account than a 400 dollar account. Tip of the day 😅😊

very good video. what so many don't realize is that the trading "model" they use matters significantly. it's absolutely critical to stick to the rules of the model and to know when it will fail as that will determine the risk portion. and then to take profit, or partials, instead of emotional trading thinking it will continue favorably. so many will move their stop loss increasing the risk for no reason other than a hunch also. there's so much to pack into this, but everything mentioned here is a great guide, yet there's so much more to it.

This was so helpful, thank you. I have a 70-80% win ratio, but I'm not yet profitable with CFDs because my losses are bigger than my wins. Even though I use a 1:3 stop loss and don't usually enter unless 3 or 4 timeframes confirm the signal. Though I'm just about profitable with stocks, especially swing and position trading but day trading if I select clear positions instead of trading for the fun of it and nit caring that much if win or lose.

Hi, i have a question regarding your risk reward. Do you always have fixed risk to reward or you just have specific percentage that you want to make a day. For example you execute entry on 1min and RR is 1:3, or you just give yourself 3 opportunities and you try to make 2 percent profit. In case you reach 2 pecentage profit you close trade and done for today.

Hey James. Can you tell me what your day trading learning curriculum was like? Were you disciplined? You've often talked about how it should be regarded with the same respect as someone who went to college, and that it requires similar time as getting a degree. if you consistently have a winrate of 60% you might as well slowly increase the risk amount. i guess some people will feel more stressed out if they risk more but you have traded for years probably so your day to day will probably not change much. the idea that i could make double what i made last year by risking more sounds amazing to me

I know you're using these numbers as examples... But you could've used more realistic returns vs losses. $100 risk doesnt make $200 without insanely high leverage, which in turn would lead to having more losses than wins

I get the your explanation about the psychology of risk amount, but if you increased your risk per trade to $550, you would make an additional $72,000 a year. I'm sure the additional $50 risk wouldn't mess with your psychology, especially knowing you have never had a losing month. You can just tell yourself you are adjusting risk for inflation.
