@hireshi-azu I would say i found my visit to London better, than living here in Norway. The ordinary grocery stores and such had better prices for me, but then again the paychecks are most likely lower than what you get in Norway also. The look of the nature itself, is better in Norway though, but you got places that look good ALL over the world.

I came over this video now 😅😁 As a norwegian, I can explain a few stuff: 1. First Price is Kiwi's "cheap brand", some of the stuff is good, some is not 😂 2. The bread is good for you 😁 most of the bread you find in Norway are wholegrain and without sugar 😊 the "cake" on the side says how many % wholegrain there is in it! 3. Urge came at the same time (I think even before) Surge and it is the same Soda! But after what I heard from Coca-Cola Company, is that Norway is the only country in the world that has this soda at this point!! 😁 4. If you are looking for butter for your bread, go for the ones that are in boxes 😊 As long as it doesn't say "margarin", you are good! Very late comment, but I hope you read it! 😁 Love your videos!

@captin__7658
@captin__7658 4 жыл бұрын
Kimberley Chan - it’s not actually butter, it’s margarine, therefore it doesn’t solidify as strongly as real butter does. Even taking it directly out of the refrigerator I would compare the consistency of the squeeze butter to room temperature stick butter. An even less popular option we have here in the United States is spray butter(margarine). It is actually in a liquid form and will stay in liquid form even if you put it into the refrigerator. The spray butter and squeeze butter is made by a company called “parkway”. I’m sure with a quick google search you’ll be able to find it!

Norway is wealthy because oil was found there. Corporate profits tax ranges from 28% to as high as 78%. Guess what that means? Companies have to raise prices on their goods to make a profit, which affects consumers. I don't know about Norway, but in Finland the price per can or bottle of any alcoholic beverage is required by law to be the same no matter how many you buy (part of the logic being so you don't buy more than you "need" because it would be "cheaper") and you have to offer them for sale individually. Then the stores typically do not bother taking the cans out of the cases since people can just help themselves.

Greetings from Finland. A had a two week trip to Norway last month and did some comparison on prices. In general I could say that going to a grocery store is generally about 30% more expensive in Norway than Finland. But some products are the same price and some are way more expensive. Especially meat and beer are double priced in Norway. That's why so many Norwegians drive to Sweden and Finland for shopping. In the far northern Finland you can sometimes see that there are more cars with Norwegian than Finnish registration plates on the shop parking areas :)
@arcticblue248
@arcticblue248 4 жыл бұрын
Thats true, but the truth is that for the most part ... its not economical to drive and do shopping in finland from Norway unless you live close to the border, I live about 2 hours drive from Nourgam (northen finland) and we regular do drive there to do some shopping but for the most part it would have been cheaper to shop back home (wich we do anyway). Tobacco however are very cheap in Finland compared to Norway but you are only allowed to take like not so many with you, also alcohol can be very much cheaper ... in Finland compared to Norway. But many do not think about it, but because like here in Norway we do have Vinmonopolet (like your Alko) they buy so much volume that it often is cheaper than in many other countries in Europe ... and sometimes people DO come to norway to buy special kinds of wine for example. Meat is cheaper in Finland but .. it is not that cheap so it will pay off to drive 2 hours to get it :-P but ofcourse while you already are there .... why not buy right ? also Sodas like Coke and Pepsi are cheaper because we got a high sugartax on soda's... so people order online even and its still cheaper.

Grocery shopping in Norway isn't all that expensive. Premium cuts of beef and meat in general, however, tends to cost an arm and a leg. And a cow. Anything from pork is usually very cheap, though. I can buy several days worth of dinner for around $15. Of course breakfast, lunch, snacks and other meals aren't included in that. However they needn't be all that expensive in general. I can make due with $100 a week - including snacks and drinks. However the second you start purchasing premade.. that's when you'll start figuring out that Norway is VERY expensive. Basically food is cheap; having it made for you is not.
