Teachers pay Teachers is also a great resource. You can find a lot of free activities and worksheets.

Oh yes! Good point. I usually find TPT through Pinterest through Blogs lol kind of a rabbit trail journey there but yes, awesome activities and resources there too!

I have an epson eco tank and the ink lasts such a long time! I was thinking of printing the free pdfs from the good and the beautiful but I’m wondering how I could bind them without a binding machine, I don’t want to buy one and was trying to avoid having to use a binder for the curriculum. Any suggestions? I know I could go to an office supply store and gave a book bound but looking at options.

Maybe you could staple a couple lessons together at a time? Or do big binder clips? Only print a unit at a time and you’ll have less to work with… Idk, It’s not full binding that way but for that you’ll def need a store if you don’t want to use a binder. I use a binder and it’s worked great for us.

Im confused , I thinking to homeschool but dont know what to expect before I make that desision . I undestand theres online school like k-12 that charge money , I know theres homeschool by the distric just trying to figure out if its free ? Are material provided or you have to purchase? How much would it cost? Good things , no uniform , no driving everyday to school saves gas , No field trips , No lunch money :) . But im a newbie , can someone please explain ?

Yes, it’s a big decision and a lot to think about and consider. First look up your state’s homeschool laws at hslda.org/ That will get you started in the right direction. They have great articles on how to start and all that as well. I’m working on videos here on KZfaq to walk you through where to start and what to do after you’ve started but until that time, you can search KZfaq for answers to all your questions. There’s so many mommas out here sharing all their wisdom. I would suggest starting out as cheap as possible until you decide what you like best for your family. All you really need is a library card, some basic school supplies, internet and a printer.

Hi Sharayah, I have an inexpensive printer that is very expensive because it uses a lot of ink and the ink cartridges are expensive. I also use the Good and the Beautiful for my curriculum, I buy it because it is cheaper to buy it than to print it for me. Can you share the type of printer you have and do find that it is more cost effective to print than to buy the Good and the Beautiful curriculum?

Oh yeah, those ink cartridges can get expensive!! I switched from a canon printer to an HP printer in order to get on their Instant Ink program. You just pay a small monthly fee (.99 is the starting plan) and have ink sent to you before you ever run out. I’m on the 100 pages a month plan and never go over. I got the HP tango printer. As for printing whole curriculum: I print Good and Beautiful whole curriculum from my husband’s work (he has unlimited paper and ink there) but if I didn’t have that option, I would print lessons out by term so as not to go over my limit, or I would upgrade my monthly instant ink membership for a month before the start of the school year and print it all out then. Then I’d drop back down to the minimum plan. So you’d still save money printing Good and beautiful from home if you had HP instant Ink plan.
