Great video ! I’m looking forward to the video about creating a basement apartment. Any tips on how to find a reliable contractor would be awesome!

Rent in Belleville is ASTRONOMICAL to say the least. Most hmeless people in Belleville, Ontario, Canada don't CHOOSE to be homeless, they and the majority of middle class CAN'T afford the outrageous price of rent and alot of the rental units and basically comparable to living in a shoe box.

Buy land and have your house built on it, save easily over $100k

So, you are a bit out of touch with your view on affordability. You think your just talking to people looking to move here and buy homes but you viewers are the ones struggling, sitting on youtube. Those 1400 'options' are slums and very old beat up and poorly maintained/managed. Good luck getting property maintenance companies to upkeep a unit. Any decent 2 bed will now cost you 1800 + utilities which will take you over $2k/month, 3 beds your looking at $3K/month. Add car payments and even a decent wage job doesn't cut it here. How is anyone to grow here? Banking system has been crushing renters for half a decade now as landlords can't fathom paying ANYTHING for their own investment, so they are booting long term residents to jack up rents. My advice, if you already have a home your selling or have a VERY high paying job you can transfer here, I would steer clear of Belleville. We only build condos and luxury homes here. Nothing will be affordable for decades to come. Reality check for the masses
