Thank Alex! Appreciate the feedback and support. Its been a wild ride so far and a long journey. I try my best to put A1 quality content. The M4 is a great car. The values on them are slightly lower than the M3 since they had another year of production or so. Aesthetically, many people think the M3 is more pronounced with the fender flairs compared to the M4. I agree with that. If you don't need a true 4-door sedan and always wanted a 2-door then go for the M4. I see the M3 more practical since I can use it to transport items from Home Depot or Ikea (Long boxes) and potentially kids in the future. Not saying you can't do that in the M4 but its a lot easier in the M3.

Definitely do your research. Bought a bone stock & clean 55k mile Estoril Blue 6MT M235i (fully loaded) for $19.5k. Put $6k down and financed the rest- made sure I shopped around for rates and with my 720-ish credit score, I scored a 2.64% interest rate car loan for the rest of the car payment. Paying around $290 a month, something that is very much doable for a young guy like me. Enjoying the car, blessed to have went through it in a smart way.

i lucked out and bought my 2018 m4 that had about 27k miles at the time of purchase (basically fully loaded minus the comp pkg: executive package, DCT, heated steering, android screen sharing, apple carplay, HUD, active blind spot, 19inch M 437 forged wheels, LCI Icon LED headlights, and etc... Original sticker MSRP was $78,000) back in March 2021 right before the crazy price surge for $45k before fees/tax/interest. A few months later my car was valued close to $60k.

This is a great video. I’m sure folks who are trying to get into an M3 will appreciate the transparency. In my opinion, the best way to build wealth is to invest in a property . Cars depreciates very quickly but properties will make you money faster. Once you set yourself up financially and you have a good foundation, you will have the bandwidth to get that luxury vehicle and not necessarily worry too much if it depreciates. Plus the significant other will not choke your ass out. I bought a 2016 M3 from McLaren of San Francisco a few years back with 19K miles for 60K out the door with extended warranty. I only put down 3K. I have since refinanced with my credit Union. My monthly payment is $705. It was nice to finally upgrade from the F30. $705 is still on the high side but if you bought a brand new M3 with little down, you will be paying well over 1K per month. Like Ken said, do your research. Every deal will be different because everyone situation is different. But this car is well within reach now.

Absolutely agree. Cars will depreciate but building wealth with real estate is long term key on building wealth. Wealth that you can pass onto your children. i think the reason between the differentiating rates from used to new is because a used car is cheaper and a new car is more expensive so they would make the same amount of money whether you paid more or less for a new or used

I know this is sort of later but I am actually thinking of purchasing a 6MT F80/82 in the next couple of years. Pretty interesting to see the value fluctuations, an E90 will be well out of my price range when I able to buy. I currently daily drive a 2004 S60R 6MT and a RWD BMW would be a cool second car to have.

Used car loans typically have higher interest rates than new car financing because there's more uncertainty as to the value of the car, and lenders can demonstrate that used car borrowers default more frequently on their auto loans, regardless of their credit. Used cars are a higher risk loan.

Lots of great insight. I do know for Ad and Affiliate revenue it can be different for every channel. if you do a lot of product based reviews you tend to get more affiliate link clicks and KZfaq can focus Ads from your niche getting you higher CPM. I have seen a 10k sub channel show more revenue than a 100k subscriber channel because they were more recognizable in a High Ad rate niche.

For those interested-bought a brand new 2017 M3 zCP (March 2017) for $81,000 through BMW's "BMW Select" program, (sort of like a lease in terms of lower monthly payment but you own the car - i.e. can't return the car. Obviously you can trade it in though and BMW will try to get you to trade it in!). At 2.99% APR (which was the best during the time) my payment is $1063.73 a month (with no down payment). Next year my five years are up and I'll have $24,000 left to pay. I can either pay that off or refinance the rest. Car is worth way more than I owe on it. I bought the car knowing I would keep it forever. I couldn't be happier. One of the best looking cars on the road and feel it has that timeless aesthetic. Love your channel bud! Keep it up!

Wow that’s a pretty good deal. I just got a 2019 M4 with comp pack with 20k miles. I’m paying about $1150/m and have had a house for a year. Cars are always depreciating so it’s worth having you money in something that is appreciating. Congrats on your car bro!

Also balloon financing is one of the worst financial decisions you can make. If you can get a lot of cash in hand, use it towards a house/stock/savings. It’s not a great idea if you don’t have much in your name.

Putting 28k down seems like a huge financial risk for a depreciating asset- luckily with used car pricing now these have kept their value but with that low of an interest it’s almost better to have that 28k work for you in different channels or cash on hand than in a rolling depreciating asset

I have multiple streams of income rolling in and have my money invested in rentals properties. If I wasn't keeping the car for long term then it probably wouldn't be a good idea to put that down payment. I intend on paying off this car and keeping it as a on going project car. I do agree, if a person didn't have much savings and put that amount down, it would be a financial risk /mistake.

Not bad actually. Give you an idea, I traded my F80 M3 to the dealership and they gave me 60k trade in. I had 35k miles no accidents, stock, no mods, never tuned, and it was a 2018. This was back in June. Obviously things have changed. But I would try to haggle more especially since the market is slowing down and interest rates are rising.

Curious why did you need the Geico warranty if you still had factory warranty? Isn't that why it's so cheap? Lots of great info here...and you aren't joking about the rates right now, I'm have ~780 credit score and I actually just got 1.79% on a 72 month loan for a 2017 M3, through NWFCU. I couldn't believe it..that's brand new car rates.

In order to have the policy, Geico requires you to add it on before a certain period of time. I think it was before the 12 months period. It also only applies for cars less than 15K miles and less than 15 months old. They wont let you add it years later and ect. Which is how they make their money and especially the ones that decide to sell their car in year 4. Starting this winter, my warranty will be up and Geico's MBI will be in place to take care of any mechanical issues. Yeah you got a killer of a rate! No rush to pay that car off. Thats incredible.

It all depends, 32k for a F80 M3 might mean its at a high mileage or other underlying issues. There's no rush to get into a M car, I got into a M car when I was about 28ish. For a 2015 F80 M3, they should be roughly 45k ish in this inflated market. So you gotta ask yourself why its at 32k. What I know, is that if things break on this car, its going to cost a decent amount. Hopefully this helps.

Haven't found anyone beat 1.74% yet with 'very good' rated credit as of 2020(Trump Era). Credit unions are the best and shopping around is important.

That's incredibly solid interest rate. A while BMW was offering 60 months at .9% interest rate on their new cars. That was a steal!

@The Daily Driven Yeah, I made my purchase immediately after that 0.9%(unbelievable). I don't know if we'll ever get back to that. The whole automobile industry is about to change and it does not look good but b4 that with all these excess vehicles in stock people might get free vehicles soon.
