@@TinsonTour looks like a rip off of the BMW design but bmw are moving away from that with most the models now. So I guess they don't mind anyway. The asymmetric design was functional before led came along. With bulbs the choice for twin headlights was. 2x H4 only illuminated the top halves of the reflectors on low. 2x H7 only one headlight for dip and 1 for main beam. Or 4x H7 (triumph tiger sport 1050) 2 for dip 2 for main beam. Down side is huge power usage.

@@chrisredfield3240 weirdly most of the sinnis beam seems to come from the drl's and the dip and main beam just light a 10ft square of road about 6ft from the front of the bike it's pretty unerving although nothing a decent set of spots wouldn't sort ( although that's not the point )

The side pannier frames on the 380 make the rear end look cockeyed .I thought the side stand looked like it was going to bend or snap when Shaun spun the big Terrain on it , The side stand looks dodgy & not really up to the task of holding a 220 kg plus bike up .The bike needs a good solid main stand .Back in the day the cops in Liverpool were just glad anyone was remotely legal on a motorbike as long as you had something that looked like an L plate ,they had more serious stuff to deal with ..The worse coppers for nit picking traffic offences were the ones out in the sticks or those in small towns with nothing better to do than give out traffic tickets .Faye has the miles & saddle time she just needs to hone up a bit more for the test & those L plates will soon be history 👍

@@TinsonTour I reckon the Generic Chines bikes have come a long way in the last few years & their better built price point bikes like the 125 Terrain are worth a punt .But for the price of bikes like the 380 version in the A2 range ,it’s possible to find a good used almost mint Honda CB 500 x with low mileage for similar money .The Honda will be still running as sweet as a nut in 10 - 20 years needing only money spending on consumables ,oil ,geese & fuel .Once you get into the realms of spending 3 to 4 & half grand on a bike ,there is a good choice of used almost mint bikes to chose from for similar money .These bikes being well established names will also have a longer & larger factory & aftermarket parts availability ,making them a less risky purchase .👍
@TinsonTour
@TinsonTour 2 жыл бұрын
@@maskedavenger2578 yeah absolutely that's exactly what i said when we 1st looked at them although the cb500x is way to tall for Faye which is a shame .. the 380 in my opinion is just a stepping stone so cheap as chips with full aluminium luggage, 2 years warranty then sell on and move on to bigger and better .. at the moment no1 has any real idea about the long term reliability of Chinese bikes but suppose time will tell
@maskedavenger2578
@maskedavenger2578 2 жыл бұрын
@@TinsonTour I think the modern high end Chinese bikes that are made to Japanese spec in their top factory’s will last longer .Zhongshen who make the Sinnis Terrain models I believe also build many engines for the big name Japanese ,European & other big name bikes ,to their specifications .So they should last just as long ,the problem is more likely to be parts availability as the models change every couple of years Also as the bikes don’t have as big a market as the likes of Honda or the more established brands ,not many quality aftermarket parts are likely to be available if the machine is older than a couple of years . I don’t see full aluminium luggage as a bonus even if it came in with the list price .They tend to get overloaded & full of crap you don’t need or use .I just use an easy off or on plastic Givi top box & strap or bungee a swag bag with tent & gear on back seat ,bike feels less like a barge on two wheels .But that’s everyone’s personal choice I know you like your metal boxes ,especially for carrying of the campsite ale supply’s 👍
@TinsonTour
@TinsonTour 2 жыл бұрын
@@maskedavenger2578 yeah absolutely personal choice for everything in life as for luggage I have to completely disagree as we don't carry any crap when Faye is pillion ( and weirdly the 380 is really good 2up ) prob why its geared so low as it doesn't affect what performance its got , and decent boxes double as seats,tables etc but as u say its personal choice which as good think as if we all rode and liked the same bikes and accessories life would be a really dull place

Faye if you do the A1 test then a 125cc bike is no good for motorways so your no better off trying to go places ? That don’t make sense . Plus you’d have to folk out more money to do the A2 test which is the same test as the A1 👍🏿
@TinsonTour
@TinsonTour 2 жыл бұрын
@@desmiller4764 trouble is as we keep saying is most A2 bikes are not big enough to do an A2 test which is ridiculous hence the law changing in February... there's hardly any A2 bikes i can fit on ( until the law changes ) as most are detuned full size A bikes with over 30" seat heights , tests are really cheap its the training which is expensive so if i can pass an A1 test now then i can forget about my cbt and theory which run out early next year and when the law changes so i can use a smaller bike for my A2 theoretically i shouldn't have any probs booking a test and passing it as like u say its the same test 👍
@desmiller4764
@desmiller4764 2 жыл бұрын
Since you’ve modified all your upto now to fit you then doing the test once should be the priority you did sit on two bikes that where A license in that shipping container and that A2 Honda 500f so their are bikes you fit on but it looks like your only looking to do the test on your bike. There are Honda rebels and Vulcan s that are A2 bikes . Saves having to then think in a few years of doing the test all over again to ride a bigger bike and plus the cost.

@@desmiller4764 completely gone off cruisers now not sure if it was just a fad for me , the cost to do it on the 500f was over £1200 which is way out of our price range , the 1s in the container z650 and suzuki gladius , sv650 are just a bit to tall although I'm trying a full A bike next week on my lesson hence just seeing what the instructor thinks but at the moment just getting rid of the L's , cbt and theory are my priority ...
