To be fair, your line in the hairpin was abysmal. You probably could’ve made the corner on lower grip with a few more attempts

Not to mention, once he started just flipping the car from the momentum, the grip wasn't the issue anymore! Physics says you can't just turn 180° while going 100+ mph. I imagine the reason he finally made it was that the excessive grip slowed him down enough to be able to make the turn (albeit including a barrel roll).

Cornering isn't all about downforce. Slow speed is mostly mechanical grip

With too much grip, going full steering like will slam you straight into the wall. We need the tires to slip in order to make sure the steering isn’t too sensitive, hence why some Motorsports set up their car to have lots of power rather than downforce, like F1

Seeing as I can go full throttle through most of the track in an indy on the nascar layout in iracing, it probably wouldn't take much of a grip increase with a f1 car
