See my Lincoln used to make 210 WHP, now it’s at 370, more power is definitely fun but you also begin to sacrifice the fun around town and street driving; at least for me being big turbo. 450 this year and that will be the max! Otherwise it won’t be a fun street car anymore 😆 Love the podcast bois keep it going!

Started the podcast on my way to Toyota in downtown slc to do some windshields, finished the podcast exactly when I just pulled into my driveway. Mine are 165hp and 200 hp. I agree with gels. ~200 is great for 95% of people on the street and the track. I also agree with Alex, 400 is enough or more than 98% of track goers will ever need. Dakota explained it well, power should be last in tuning/building a car.

I agree with Gels on the under 200 HP number. Ive driven a few friends cars that were higher than that and they were fun, but ive been able to have more fun in my civic that has maybe 160 crank hp with nothing but boltons, a tune, and a suspension swap. She aint fast but she has more than enough power for her chassis and can carry all of her speed well.

Miata Sales are up for I think multiple reasons 1) Next Gen Concept was revealed a few months ago and made the rounds 2) ND3 has been announced, finally has Lidar and other modern commodities/assists 3) Along with those two Mazda has communicated "this is the last purely ICE one, get em while you can"

listened to this on spotify in the car on the way to scoop up a deal on new tires off fbmp. only complaint is i had to max out my cars headunit and audio was still quiet and the break music was really loud. othrwise loved the podcast as usual :)

for at least Street/Daily Use IMO, As soon as you cant rely on good street tires to have traction either out of a exiting corner or a hard rolling acceleration on the road, then you have too much horsepower, if you have to switch to like semi-slick for normal road use, and it become mandatory to use semi-slicks, maybe just tone down the performance a tad bit

I manage to have fun with an insane 129 (stated) horsepower… in my bone stock 2013 Corolla LE. It’s slow but can be fun in the snow.

To sell on Facebook marketplace you basically have to stop caring about anything which sucks. I flip miatas sometimes and the amount of paragraphs I get, not even in the comments, in my DMs is insane. I guess people don't understand supply and demand, and that the world doesn't revolve around them. still can't hate on marketplace too much because it's where I buy and sell everything 😅
