Thank you for listing out all these items for hopeful students. Many times I find that people will look at the general tuition cost and assume that's all they need to expect to spend on getting through CRNA school. You didn't mention taking the SEE which many of us were required to take twice ($300 a piece). I definitely spent thousands of dollars in travel and housing for clinical sites. Not to mention the cost of living I spent over three years, and the compounding interest of the loans from day one of school until you graduate. Many grads come out closer to $200k in debt after it's all said and done.
@TheSchoellerFamily
@TheSchoellerFamily 3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow I didn't realize other schools had you pay for the see! My school set it up and paid for us. I'm lucky I didn't have to travel for clinical. I can see how that would add up! Thanks for sharing.

@@edgardo798 sure! But in the mean time here is some simple math. 100k invested. 150k net (conservative) income. In the first year, she will make a 50% annualized ROI on the initial investment. By year 10, a 31% annualized and 1,400% cash on cash return. This math only works of you don't have student loans nor account for income opportunity lost during school due to only be able to work part-time or not at all. 8% is considered a good, average return by most of the world, which makes this ROI astronomical.

I know it sounds dumb but I genuinely want to talk to someone in the field . Plus I have tons of rapid fire questions related to the field, personally I find it easier to just ask in person . Ps. I’m currently studying to get my ADN in a local community college and I’m planning a similar strategy to how you did it . Also much love from Texas I love watching you and your husbands videos .

Rhianna Ferial awesome! I’ve been following your videos & admire the way you methodically plotted your course for success & followed through! I feel I’d have to work while in the program, just to maintain the routine life expenses (bills, car payments, housing, health insurance, etc.) I don’t want to have loans of extraordinary sizes to have to pay back. I understand the compensation for CRNAs is “nice”, but no one wants to work just to pay bills, I.e.; loan repayment. Again, thank you for the material, congrats again & please keep the videos coming 👍🏾

If you go to a school with say a 100k cost, and you come out with 160k in total(because of interest) in loans, it shouldn't be hard to pay off with salary of CRNA. CRNA'S make 160-175k base and you can easily jump to 200k with 1099 + a bit of overtime in a major metro area alone. In rural areas, you can get well over 200k+, so it shouldn't be hard that to pay it off in a few years if you decide to go.

Girl I'm 100k in undergrad debt right now and just got accepted into CRNA school XD I refuse to be a bedside nurse forever. Nursing during COVID, regardless of being with covid positive patients, is just awful. Understaffed, no resources to get things done properly. I would rather be in more debt but happy with my job.

@JeffreyQProductions
@JeffreyQProductions 3 жыл бұрын
No and no. You can get grad plus loans which are federal loans by taking the FAFSA, and those loans are disbursed by the school, but the school doesn't offer loans to the students directly. And even if you CAN work (as in, if your program doesn't forbid it) it's neither worth the small amount of money you'll make or your time as the time is better spent studying or decompressing.
