When I was preparing to propose to my now wife, she requested a ring with an opal instead of a diamond. She said why should we settle for a clear stone when you could have a stone that would be 100 times more beautiful. Your channel taught me she was right; opals are the most beautiful and interesting stone.

Good for you guys. Diamonds are over-rated and over priced. They're not particularly rare and aren't that interesting. An opal, however. Now that can be something exceptional, as I'm sure you can see by Justin's videos. Plus there's plenty of other more interesting stones out there. De Beer's did a great marketing job on pushing the diamond and that's about it.

25 words: The black opal channel has taught me the value of an opal, also that the color gives an opal its value. I learned that finding an opal is not easy and gives a person great joy to find one. I've learned it takes an experienced eye to decipher where to cut or grind and that different grinding tools create different effects on the stone. And lastly, it isn't size that matters, its brilliance. Those are my 25 words. And on a separate note, I believe the Le'shem stone in the Biblical ephod is opal...any notes on that?

I registered for ebay on February 1st, 1998. I immediately began buying Gerber baby jars full of rubs, cuts, and nobbies! I learned about crockery tops from this channel. So, I’ve gone to my trusty Aussie box collection and found 23 untouched nobbies with crockery tops. I bought a 40x loupe and found color, oodles of color I never knew I had!!! Thank you, Justin!!! I feel blessed. I could never afford the opals I never knew I had. Hoping to bring them to you next year in Arizona. The jars ran me anywhere from $5 to $25 each. I lined my fish tank with them for years. I have lots of color but not like 5/5. However, the nobbies show promise. I need to practice on the Ethiopian nodules before I touch my precious Aussies!
