I enjoy mining gems since it can be sold at your own leasure, I was back up to several million aUEC right after the money wipe since I had a lot of gems in my inventory.

Where did you store them until selling them? In the local of any place?

@@xXPiletonXx yeah pretty much.. if CIG does a cash and ship wipe but leave your inventory alone then you will find your gems at your home base local under "other"

Good video! The only thing I would like to add is to keep an eye out for smoke coming out of the vent in the upper left corner as this is a sign that the ROC is overheating and may shut down any moment. Also, keep a large backpack or storage box to transport gems from ROC to transport ship, should the ROC overheat.

Top Tip to reduce the ROC breaking down upgrade it with 2x Defiant power plants & 1x Tepilo cooler both sold at microtech also keep full power to shields ! keep distance from rock nodes as they break so not to cause your ROC any damage every time you cash your gems in drive the ROC onto an emty landing pad and repair the ROC for a few uec should the ROC break down on you with gems on board go back to your ship and shoot the ROC till it blows up it will drop a 1 scu box with all the gems inside just use a tractor beam to place inside your ship

little tip you can also store the gems in your ship inventory so you can keep mining without going back and forth to sell. stayed out for like 2 hours before over a 1000 gems got close to 400k

Oh this mining session had me going crazy. Ship yeeting then dying and finally not being able to sell from the ROC, blowing up at station then rescuing the ROC, relogging and only then being to sell

Looting is easy. Just hold "I" key over the body and it should bring up the new menu. Or you can hold F key on the body, select Loot. It might bring up the new menu but prefer the old one, there is an arrow above the menu to switch to the old menu, you can then drag the undersuit into your ship inv and it transfers all the loot on the body.

There's a bug with looting your own dead body atm. The menu will pop up but instantly close again constantly

did 1 rock mining run yesturday for the first time and it took like an hour or so.. had its own problems like my roc flipping when i backed out of my c1, steering not working, almost dying from heatstroke 4times and server just being really slow with picking up the rocks. i collected around 340 of the most expensive rock (not the new hand minable) and 50-100 rocks were still left out as i couldnt be bothered. anyway was able to sell it all for 98k

That's pretty good for the first time. ROC mining can be very frustrating sometimes so many things can go wrong bugs and death just waiting for you out there

I've run into that same bug of it, not letting me loot my own body when I got back to it. I don't like the new loot interface.

I heard that if you press F and then I quickly you can loot

@TheCoreGameplay I think I've tried that with no luck. It could also have been from the server. It tried to pop up the old inventory window, and then it immediately closed. The same with the new loot style window would either kinda pop then close or just do nothing.

Since the 3.23 update I haven't been able to loot my corpse and none of the work arounds worked for me.

Head: Defiance Arms: Defiance Chest: Inquisitor Legs: Inquisitor Can buy everything at GrimHEX it's my favorite combo, head and arms are heady but chest and legs are medium so I still got speed and some protection

I'm struggling with scanning. All I can find are these big boulders that the ROC can't mine

If you hit the scanning ping and a icon pops up. If it's anything over 4km distance skip it. It's probably a big rock. Only 4km or under. Sometimes it difficult to find but keep going

@@TheCoreGameplay that might have been my mistake. going to the far away pings full boost - only to find dissapointment
