How Much Money Do You Need to Start Trading?

Күн бұрынWhen you are a new trader in the stock market and just getting started, "how much money do I need?" is a very wise question to ask. In some situations it will depend on the broker and platform as they will have a minimum starting requirement; however, many new traders just want to know what it takes to "make it worthwhile". We have a situation of good and bad news. The bad news is, the answer is not exactly black-and-white. The good news is, it's a very easy and straight-forward path to figure out how much money you will need to get started in the stock market. At the core, this question all comes down to perspective and goals. As long as your perspective and goals are in line with one another, you'll have a very good idea about just how much money you will need to begin trading.

Good job clarifying the right mindset to go into this with. I'm looking to make enough with trading to have enough time in my day to not have to worry about a job, so that I can work on long term hobbies, like metal/wood working and fine craftsmanship. Nobody is going to "Win the Lottery" with stock trading when they don't have experience doing it. Start small, to get that experience, then after you're consistent, scale up a little bit. Don't scale too fast, or you'll either A: Get sloppy, or B: have an anxiety attack because you just lost in a trade, costing you what used to be 300% of what you were trading earlier, when in reality, it was more like a 10% loss at your current level. Mindset is everything.

Great info as always. Start with what you can afford to lose. Only. No more. Learning using small trades seems better than learning the lessons losing large trades. To each his own.

I started with 3000 lost almost all of it in the first week after a successful 6 months on a demo account ! Best thing that happened to me though because I made me really dig in and learn real trading ... It's about the trade not the money

There's just so much to learn but I'd recommend follow a few trending companies, your favorite companies and failing companies. Understand the graph, news etc. I'm also new at this but since I've already bought stocks I'm already emotionally invested into this. Goodluck

I started with $2100 back in May (1032 in AAL and 1086 in CAR) and after 3 months am around $7000 (Granted a big chuck of that was KODK). Pulled around $1100 profit out of two swing trades with CARS just this month.

Find a broker spend $100 on items then resell them for more money! Buy & Sell, seems simple enough but I don't know how to access said brokers or marketing. What site do I need to look at to invest in? You see my goal is to help people with similar problems like me, I have learning disabilities but doesn't mean I'm unintelligent, if anything I'm unique. I just need advice on how to start. Also do I need a laptop for this because all I own is a Android Phone

im not after the rolex or the fancy stuff trust me that stuff doesent change anything although some people think it defines a person. from personal experience it wiser to invest that money your spending on fancy stuff to be able to one day buy what ever your heart desires even though food water and shelter are the essentials. im here just to replace my part time income and maybe full time

my goal for day trading is to make double the amount i work in a regular job minimum wage for 8 hours. so i work 8 hours in one day and the minimum wage is $15/hr. so i worked $120 in that 8 hours. if i could day trade and get double that amount, that would be great

@@claytrader yes. for me, it's not about the bling bling fancy stuff that people boasts about. what i'm jealous about is successful traders is when they get to a certain goal they make per day, they have more leisure time. in your videos, i saw like you made hundreds or thousands of dollars in just minutes or a few hours? wow! if i could do that, i can go to the gym or do something else for the rest of the day

@@claytrader I appreciate the assistance and I did actually watch that video before you posted the reply here however, unfortunately, it seems I live in a 10th would country Trinidad and Tobago, and webull neither first trader is available in my country. Bummer. However, 1. do have a video for a super beginner like me show how to set up your stop loses high and lows on the platform? 2. Also in a video where you were live trading, i think the title was "the number 1 thing I can show you as a trader" or something like that, you said you could have lost money if you didn't exit because the prices went up i didn't understand clearly what went on there. 3. IS there is a difference between a stock symbol eg AAPL.nasdaq and AAPL.nasdaq.CFD (ps I'm trying a workaround to get an account on webull) hopefully it works out
