Facts. I never had a nice car so when I finally started making decent money in my mid twenties I dropped loot on a nice car. 2 weeks after I bought it I was like God damn it why did I waist all that money on a car?!

I had that same mentality but ive bought 3 new cars. If the mfg offers 0% its a cool deal. Dont get suckered in and have good insurance to cover replacement if something happened. If the purchase has any interest over 1% walk away. Used cars are such a rip off. Its not like the older cars. A used 2000 to 2020 anything gets real expensive! I just bought a truck and used prices were so high and higher % that it was cheaper to buy new...

Honestly, I always get heat from my older sister(who is an accountant that does my books/finances for free) and she said “When are you going to buy a new truck? I know you can afford it”….and I was just like “Did you ever ask yourself for a second that maybe I like my 18 year old truck? And it runs great why would I buy a new one?”…. and there was a long pause and she goes “solid answer! I wish I could be content with the things I have”….and I was like Yeah…its the disease of MORE, were Americans, were always fighting/feeding this insatiable thirst that no amount MATERIAL shit with ever fix…. @@dark-starchemistryfabricat2405 thats great man! Id still love my 85 bronco if i had it. Ive had and restored plenty of vehicles from the 60s through the 90s. If you are good with what you have by all means keep it. Having a "known" is worth a lot. My point was not really to just buy the latest and greatest, but the current used market is nuts. I have had vehicles for a long time to the point where i have replaced motors and kept them going. My 1983 ive had since 99 and my 84 ive had since 02. But the argument "i will never buy a new car" you see isnt always based in reality or the best option. Because if you need a car with under 100k miles the used priced and interest rates are absurd! My f150 has 0% interest. A good warranty and the features i wanted. I looked for used from 2015 to 2020 and the prices and % was stupid! I needed something to pull and rv across the country and my family and the best option financially was new. My oldest vehicle currently is a 1983 which i will never part with. A few vehicles ago i had an 80k mile chevy traverse ltz. It was a 2010 and got it used. I put less than 10k on it before selling because of all the issues. Power sensitive steering went out. Rack was leaking. Infotainment system started acting up. My 99 jeep had tons of electrical gremlins and i bought it when that body style was still new. I kept it til 2020 but it was to the point where it was more hassle than value. Some vehicles will stand up over time while others are money pits. My truck replace my 99 jeep and trailer to haul my bikes and rv. I would have kept the jeep but it was a money pit and i knew someone that had one with a solid body and bad motor. Mine had 30k on the motor and some good options like a d44 rear so it became a donor :) Hold on to what works for you as long as it works. If and when you need something dont discount new just because its new. Especially if you plan on keeping it around!

I bought a 2018 mustang brand new and sold it in 2021 for 5k more then i paid for it with 25k miles. Also bought a new rolex in 2019 and just sold it for 3k more then I paid for it after enjoying it for three years. So your logic isnt always correct.

The best thing to say when someone talks about your parents money is “We’re middle class Americans, and they probably do alright, but its not my money” At one time in America, Alot of familys had two mortgages/properties… Its not “Rich”…..its just people are poorer than ever …so they see your families assets/properties as “Unattainable”….. America has more Millionaires than anywhere else in the world… West coast has SUPREME opulence …… You ain’t killing it until you have a Key-Cupboard with 30 different sets of keys in it for 30 different properties in your inventory….that bring you at least $200k / Month in Rental …And Everytime you sell one and make a quick 2 Million …you have to buy up another one To fill that inventory spot, and If you do it within 6 months, You dont have to pay a capital gains tax …which saves you from paying MILLIONS to the Government/IRS….. its a “Loophole” that encourages the LandLord-Tycoons to keep buying up properties ..which stimulates the Economy Its called “Section 1031 Real Estate” Real Rich people are Experts at keeping their money HIDDEN from the government…. You make a LLC and keep it in an Off-Shore account, all you need is a P.O box in that country as proof of residency…. Learn it all boys….Your average American has ZERO financial literacy…
