I'm sharing my journey to getting monetized on KZfaq as a small creator and how I recently became part of the KZfaq partner program. I will also break down my KZfaq income for the first 90 days after hitting 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time. I will also be giving you my tips and strategies to grow a channel from 0 subscribers with less than 50 videos uploaded. Hope you get some helpful info for your journey to monetization ahead in 2024.

I really enjoy following your journey on KZfaq and your photography. The honesty about your achievements and challenges is something hard to find on other channels. In fact, I only know one more channel where the photographer is as genuine as you. Anyway, I hope you find time for KZfaq and photography... Happy New Year.

Aww that’s really cool to hear. Thank you so much for the comment. And yes, combining the two would be my absolute dream and goal for 2024. Ideally KZfaq as the more job type aspect so as to be able to have complete freedom with my photography. But until that point photography remains my job so I will also share aspects of photo business stuff on here to help anyone who also wants to do the same. At least that’s the plan. Congrats. So here is a question: do you think pursuing monetization can have a negative effect on the quality of a producer's output?

Hmm good question. I personally think it’s the opposite. Pursuing monetization can help you improve the quality of the output more. By asking ‘what is performing well and why?’ you automatically shift the focus to providing value and to the needs of your potential audience. What do channels with high subscribers and a lot of views have in common? I would say it’s the following: - great audio quality - great video quality - engaging editing style - engaging speaker - interesting topics - intriguing thumbnails - intriguing titles - entertainment To pursue monetization is to pursue those qualities in one’s videos.

@@katjafeldmeier wow great question, in all honesty what I think helped me out was picking a niche that I was/am passionate about and just simply love. Views and subscribers fluctuates but when you're passionate about what you love, the rest almost seems to not matter as much because at the end of the day, your happiness is worth so much more. That being said, consistency is hard but if you have a goal in mind, that helps. Good luck!
