Very tasteful project! I have done multiple kitchen projects with Ikea boxes and custom fronts/filler/trim. Definitely the way to go. Great job!

Beautifully done! I absolutely love it. But that’s more than 3X what I had in mind for countertops, so I’m fighting back tears, lol! I have a bit less space to cover, but I guess whatever calculator I used was way off.😢 Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this video! Where do you keep the trash can? Also, how much space is between the coffee bar and island. Would love to extend my kitchen island. However, we’re not sure if we have enough walkway room. Or if it would be a hassle to walk around the island to get to the back door. Can I have your input on this. Thank you! And can’t wait to see more house renovations!

Our trash can is in the cabinet to the right of the dishwasher! Between the island and the coffee bar we have 42”. It is not tight at all and we personally do not mind walking around the island. thanks for being here with us!

Awesome thanks!! We only partnered on the cabinet hardware because we wanted our kitchen to be organically ours and only products we purchased!

This is great. The kitchen looks amazing. How much time did you budget for each step? ie - time to source materials, and then installation? Did Ikea help with the design choices? How did you find their services?

We don’t like to rush the front end so we spent a lot of time slowly working on the design, researching, and sourcing materials! Doing the work took us 6 months from demo to completion. I designed the entire kitchen myself! I’ve never personally utilized their design services.

You’re right! We consider flooring part of our whole house reno costs, since we purchased our flooring in one order for both downstairs and upstairs. I believe our flooring was $6.50/sf

Yes! We do not use a microwave. However if we ever want to add one we’ve got outlets in our pantry!

Thanks for sharing! How much did it cost to move the plumbing above the sink? Did you have the plumber also hook up your sink as well?

I think it was around $250 to move the pipe. Yes, we had our plumber install the sink and garbage disposal which I believe was another $450. Worth it though!
