I ride an MT-10 and that’s about 150hp (no dyno numbers to actually confirm my exact bike) which is an absolute monster on the street. So 160 to the wheel is definitely a menace to which ever streets it will ride.

I did a quick google search and found the original 2008 put down about 117 hp. 160 is plenty of an improvement. Looks great, can't wait to see the upcoming videos.

Thats not correct. That sounds like the power of the 600RR. 160 is where is should be.

That’s definitely not the 1000. Motorcycle USA magazine lists it as 153whp for a stock bike. They made high 170 at the Crank.

The claimed crank hp for the 2008 cbr1000 was 177. I think you might have run into the hp for the 600rr.

OC: 160hp is more than enough power to have fun and get into trouble with on the streets. Guarantee the first power wheelie on it is gonna scare the 💩 outta whomever is riding it.

OC... LOVED the video and congrats on such an awesome bike build, making totally respectable power I might add. I know you guys put SOO much into this. The only other recommendation I have is flash the HP number on the screen when you say it. Sometimes I either multi-task or get distracted. Anyway, good job again, you guys rock and nah I didn't cringe as much as I would have if it was some other make of bike.

160 hp to the wheel is about 184 hp at the crank. Nobody needs more than that for the street. Killer bike.

OC dyno to redline is terrifying. that is why when i had my big bore kit installed and full dyno tune done, they were done by the same people....so if it popped, it was on them to figure it out.

I haven’t watched this build series but the bottom line is that even if 160 is lower than what was expected, this is still a Fireblade in street fighter clothes.

OC: mixed emotions watching your bike on a dyno. The same emotions when wishing your girlfriend good luck in her job interview and you notice a black leather couch as they close the door.

That’s what people say. But this is not a completely new engine, only some parts. And they’ve run it here and there. I trust Brian, so if he was ok with doing that, I’m ok with it too
