Just a tip. Maybe turn on your subscriber numbers. There’s nothing to be ashamed about. All evidence suggests that many people don’t trust people who don’t show their numbers.

@@jimbo4723 Hi there. Thank you so much for the tip. We truly appreciate it. With that being said, it's contradicting the "advice" that I've received from other successful KZfaqrs. Apparently, people are less likely to subscribe to channels with a low subscriber count and since we're fairly new, we're still far from 1k subs, for now. Do you perhaps have a video or website reference?

THE CUPIDO CLAN Thanks. You’re right. People are sadly less likely to subscribe to channels with low subscriber counts. However, they are even less likely to subscribe to accounts that hide how many subscribers they have. If you look around, very few accounts do this. It is one of the things about KZfaq. For most of us, it is a slow painful path to growth. But wear your growth with pride. (As you can guess, I do have a channel.) Not sure if Cathrin allows links in the comments, but have a look at this Reddit thread. It is fairly typical. Everyone says show your numbers. www.reddit.com/r/youtubers/comments/85i1g2/question_as_a_fairly_new_youtuber_should_i_show/ BTW, there are a couple of brilliant Reddit’s for KZfaqrs, if you haven’t seen them.

Congrats! I remember struggling to get 1k subs and 4k hrs requirement. Now I have been monetizing my channel for a good 1 year now and just recently getting the $100 threshold monthly. You too can make it, just dont quit and be consistent!

This is what I love about what Cathrin says. Money was seen as such a “taboo” topic to talk about before. It’s good to see creators are being more transparent in its reveal because let’s be real, as creators who want to spend all day/week creating, money is an important topic! Guys, once you get your 20 videos up as fast as possible and fully optimized etc. you will see the snowball effect you’re waiting for to make some money hopefully. At least that’s what I’ve studied, researched and am expecting.

I dont get what you mean with 20 videos? 20 videos in total on the channel? And then you will see the snowball effect?

@@SunOmega It's hard to move a parked car. If you have 2 or 3 videos it's hard seeing traction. If you commit to posting an APPROXIMATED number like 20 with videos that refer to past videos and tease next ones, essentially building a web of content, you'll start seeing traction. It's not an absolute number 20 is a good number to aim for then one person will view one video and will be lead to another on your channel.

I got Monetized on the 15th of March 2020. It's a date I will never forget. I only received my first paycheck this week, even though reached the payout level the first month. This was because of the lockdown and I could not get my pin mailed to me. So finally receiving my income was amazing. KZfaq has changed my life. 💕

damn, I started my channel more to document my treatment and training for my kids to watch back one day but wow that's a hell of a lot more money than I thought! Outside of the big 1m+ channels i didn't think people would be hitting that sort of income without sponsorships. Great vid, very eye opening! All the best
