Author of the original blog here. Thanks for the shout out and for spreading my explanation on this subject to a large audience that your channel has. I really appreciate it. Also, I think you forgot to mention this: Kratos in GoW Ragnarok talks about how the threads of fate in the Greek Pantheon spanned ALL life and time. This again confirms beyond doubt that the mythological pantheons are alternate/parallel realities with their own Space-Time in a "greater" universe.

Hey man i just wanted to say that you missed this statement from Matt Sophos wich Richard Gaubert agreed on here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ord1osWaqdiuaHU.htmlsi=k3N6b1hXgi2igY5z -36:50 He confirms that if you are in Scandinavia that land will become the earth wich includes every land and continent, like Greece and Egypt and when you are in Greece it will work the same since the Greek world has an edge... Before y'know before it got destroyed and the faith for Greek Mythology died reducing it to a normal country.

The biggest flaw in this theory is how physical travel across the world and different mythologies works. Because how can you travel to a different region and a different mythology if that whole earth is that one mythology. And it has been done by Kratos, Kratos physically traveled from one mythology to another. The god of war comic fallen god shows as much. (Edit): Also in god of war: chains of Olympus. The Persian king was able to travel to Greece and invade it, bringing creatures and spirits from him mythology. And it’s implied that he simply marched his way there. Kratos literally gets a weapon in the form of djinn. So travel by conventional sea or foot is definitely valid. No mystical means needed.

Author of the original blog here. Kindly watch this video from 17:21. GoW doesn't have a multiverse in the conventional sense. It's unique. The "greater" GoW earth is just like our earth. However, within every country or continent, lies a cosmology with a distinct creation story and a pantheon of deities (based on the prominent belief system there). This is how all the mythologies co-exist at once despite contradictions, stretching from the beginning to the end of time, separated by earthly geography. Think of the "bigger on the inside" trope, similar to Hermione's beaded hand bag or Doraemon's 4-D pocket. You physically traverse from Greece to Scandinavia, which looks normal sized from the outside, but as soon as you enter it, there's an entire cosmos within with its own creation story and pantheon of deities. Hope that answers your query.

Author of the original blog here. That's certainly possible. The secondary canon novels for the Greek games do talk about how mortals' faith in the deities gives them their divine authority and influence, and if enough followers leave and/or die, the deity they primarily worshipped risks encumberment and possibly even complete cessation of their existence.

@@rtxmeatlug3149 i get that, but then that just means anyone can traverse the pantheons right? Unless kratos for some reason got there because the greek world had “died”. Like if thor just flew far enough, he’d end up in egypt as well, would another geographical region be available for travel without necessarily leaving the pantheon?
@rtxmeatlug3149
@rtxmeatlug3149 5 ай бұрын
@@alliii835 Kratos stumbled across Egypt because Greece died, so its magical boundaries faded. He ended up in Scandinavia due to 2 magical wolves dragging him there, as implied by him in the primary canon Norse novel. Tyr used the Unity Stone to translocate between geographical regions on the "greater" GoW earth instantaneously. The Persian King that arrived in Greece with his army was either from the Greek Pantheon's version of Persia, or the Persian pantheon itself. In the latter case, we don't know how he traversed from Persia to Greece. But it's quite likely that Persia has its own version of the Unity Stone. The Travellers traverse the "greater" GoW earth on ships based on a GoW 2018 mural, showing a ship sailing through a cosmic sea containing bubbles housing galaxies. But the Travellers are also magic-based. In short, we don't know if a purely physical mode of travel between different geographical regions on the "greater" GoW earth is possible or not. As for my personal belief on this, I don't think that Thor, or any other deity, can just physically travel from one geographical region to another on the "greater" GoW earth without employing some sort of magic. That's because the mythological patheons within different geographical regions on GoW's "greater" earth have astronomical cosmologies, containing higher-dimensional structures on several upper levels of infinities. Not to mention, even if some deity does manage to reach the border, I don't think they'll be able to cross it without involving some kind of unique magic. Otherwise, the patheons would've gone on war with each other. But from what we know, the pantheons are somewhat aware of each other, but they're not easily accessible to each other.

Original writer of the blog here (Agni-Dev on Quora). Your query can be addressed with 2 explanations:- 1. Every country/continent on God of War's "greater" earth looks normal from outside, but is an alternate reality from inside with its own cosmology, creation story, and earth/universe based on the mythology prevalent in that region. So, that Persian army at the beginning of Chains of Olympus could've been of the Greek World/Pantheon. 2. The Persian army actually traversed the "greater" earth and stumbled across the Greek Pantheon, just like how the Travellers in GoW 2018 and Ragnarok stumbled across the Scandinavian pantheon while sailing.

Agni-Dev (author of the original blog) here. I'll try to simplify all this for you. The "greater" GoW earth/universe IS a multiverse where every country/continent is a reality with its own Gods, cosmology, and creation stories based on the mythology prevalent there. It's just that these realities are smaller from the outside, but astronomical from the inside (similar to Doraemon's 4-D pocket). That's what allows for travel between them via conventional means such as ships. The Travellers in GoW 2018 and Ragnarok, for example, stumbled across the Scandinavian pantheon while travelling across the "greater" GoW earth/universe that I talked of earlier. Tyr's Unity Stone, however, allows for accurate and instantaneous travel (by cutting the distance) between the 9 realms and to other countries/continents as well.

If gow takes place in a multiverse, if Kratos kept traveling outward forever would he reach the megaverse? Or he simply couldn't cause a multiverse is infinite and you'd have to take some worm hole that'd risk your life or punch a hole through reality some how. In the same multiverse could he possibly run into himself from another universe? If they're in a multiverse could they possibly accidentally travel to for example the greek world again but since it's another universe, there might be some big changes or small changes. Like if Kratos was never born, if the greek gods never died, if kratos was still loyal to the gods. Changes kinda like that. I'm probably not understanding this theory a bunch. since to me kratos traveling on a boat to another country where another pantheon of that culture exists makes a lot more sense than the theory presented.

But let's see if Corey has nuts enough to drop Jesus or the father off into this thing, overtly😐 We all know there's sneak diss n throughout the symbolism all the time. But let's see if he can actually get away with depicting what stands outside of time, space and undering.. Especially human understanding😮 See we can play games with the myths, I enjoy them greatly.. But can we play games with whats real.. Don't believe me? It's so real there's a war being waged right under everybody's noses and nobody has any idea of it.. Example; The average person does not evaluate the words they use and the power those words have.. Nor the "spells" cast from those words.. There's a whole lot tied into that but let's see what happens😲 One more.. God of war as a franchise is extremely interesting. But even more interesting is Kratos's symbol throughout the entire franchise... It's the Omega symbol.. The Omega symbol is not alpha.. Here's the order The first and the last. The beginning and the end. The start and the finish. The "Alpha" and the Omega. If Kratos is being made the strongest and destroyer of all "earthly" gods? He won't be playing games with the Alpha... Again, let's see what happens😁

Author of the original post here. The version of Egypt in the Greek pantheon/reality/dimension was probably destroyed at the end of GoW 3, along with the entire mortal world (i.e. earth with an endless sky and surrounded by an endless ocean). The version of Egypt in the Norse pantheon/reality/dimension exists on the core planet of the Midgard realm i.e. earth. These versions of Egypt within different mythological pantheons/realities/dimensions on the "greater" GoW earth are what Santa Monica Studios refer to as geographical regions. The Egyptian pantheon/reality/dimension still exists though. Kratos visited exactly that in the Fallen God comic which you're referring to.
