I personally love Mystery Inc. In my opinion it is by far the best Scooby-Doo series. It has character development, an overarching story, and pays homage to previous Scooby-Doo series, and spoilers ahead for people who haven't watched yet. My personal theory is that everything we see in the previous Scooby-Doo series happened in Crystal Cove, but after the timeline was reset mystery inc. starts traveling solving mysteries. So in my personal theory Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. is actually a prequel to the original Scooby-Doo. Yes this theory is strange and only kinda makes sense, but I personally like to believe it

That doesn't make sense. In the very first episode they basically referenced all the old mysteries as something they solved personally. And even made call backs to it in later episodes. They even used the old Robot in the second season as well. So the OG technically happened first. The "Evil Entity", also was responsible for many events in the first place. Sure, you can argue things repeat them selves post reset, but they already retained the knowledge on how to deal with it. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Mystery Incorporated made me feel like I was watching the Scooby-Doo movies like Zombie Island and I loved it cause thats how I always felt Scooby-Doo should have been. It was dark, the dangers were real, they actually got hurt, people actually died, there was depth to side characters and main cast, villains were still true to the formula and some went above and beyond. It became my favorite series incarnation of the group and I really wanted more

@@kyleellis1825 Well, none of the others got buzzcuts like Shaggy. Besides, Fred had to get a bit of a trim after gradually getting out of his hobo phase. But you're pretty much overthinking that particular aspect of any cartoon that has characters growing out their hair or getting haircuts, which can be done offscreen and have absolutely no reason to be mentioned.

I LOVE Spectacualr Spidey even moreso than Scooby Doo MI because it never truly felt like the Scooby gang were friends (which actually factors into the plot, so it isn't a flaw just a personal problem) I personally put Ben 10 Omniverse in the same category but most may not agree. As a Scooby-Doo fan of the original, _original_ stuff, I do still miss a lot of what the show did at first, which has been lost over time. Like the eeriness and unease a lot of the first two seasons had. The subtle things. lol. However, I really admire this show for simultaneously commenting on and respecting the older parts of the franchise. I think it just goes to show how much people love Scooby-Doo, and most of the recent stuff, this show and the animated movies especially, come from a place of passion rather than just money-grabs. Though money-grabs are to be expected.

Velma's dynamic reads very differently now that I know she was intended to be a closeted lesbian. She pretty much forces the relationship, pressures him to do traditional boyfriend/girlfriend stuff, and finds so many nitpicks with him, you kind of wonder if she's even attracted to him. Plus, there's also the joke about how she is more disappointed that the mermaid she befriended was married than the fact that she was a fake.

While an interesting interpretation, it's not enough to justify her poor treatment of Shaggy. Even if she finds a healthier relationship with Marcie, she gets no repercussions or get called out for her toxic behavior while dating Shaggy.
@giboit.
@giboit. 4 жыл бұрын
It seems to me that she was more bi than straight up lesbian in this series. I think her problem with Shaggy comes from an idealized version of how a boyfriend should act/be (due to the fact that she never had an actual boyfriend before)but I do think that despite this she genuinely liked Shaggy. As for Shaggy, I don´t think he wasn´t interested in her but he is a bit more socially awkward in mystery inc than in other shows and movies, so he struggles to handle relationships and also trying to say what he wants (in other versions he tends to be a jolly person that can in fact interact well with others, even having love interest in some movies).

It's something a lot of smart people do. People with higher intelligence can easily be frustrated by the incompetence of others around them, that can go for sexual aspects too. That's exactly how Velma was. One of my personal favorite aspects of this show was the idea of an old mystery incorporated. 'Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated' is the best incarnation ever before or since The OG show. it feel like a show that took all the best parts of all the best versions and even bits of the best movies and mixed it all into one show. i kinda feel like the end of mystery incorporated could be interpreted as a sorta loos prequal for 'Scooby-Doo Wear are You!' by answering the question of "Why" the gang is traveling around the world, and "How" as in How the hell a bunch of teens can afford to spent the equivalent of years traveling around the world and brining their Van along for the ride.

One of my personal favorite things in this show is it's humor! All the things that happen in the show (i.e. Fred somehow having learned to fly a plane, or Shaggy saying he's been stuck with mannequins for a month) are never really questioned, and everyone just accepts that these things are happening. This "random humor" works really well with the show considering the actual basic plot of "bad guy of the week" is already pretty weird to think about happening in real life, so adding crazy scenarios doesn't feel out of place, it just adds to the story. I actually laughed out loud at some of the jokes made in the show, especially since most of them were making fun of stereotypes of people, without being overtly rude, because the stereotypes were all extremes (the evil corporation that constantly killed the environment, the communist group of college students who were constantly looking for something to fight for without reason, etc). For me, this humor really made the show so much more entertaining than other Scooby-Doo shows. There are just so many great things about this show I love it so much!

this has always been my favorite cartoon series. like, ever. I watched it as a kid, and I've watched it fully through about 12 times. you could say it's been my longest hyperfixation. the music has always stuck with me. the cow bees episode gave me nightmares as a kid and was memorable as hell to me. the hex girls were my first ever same gender cartoon crush (around the same time as Jesse from pokemon). the overall plot was so cool. all the side characters were so funny and memorable too. I'm so glad people are talking about it more. it deserves all the attention.

I think one important thing it here with the edgy was that it was fun edgy. It took it self serious and at the same time not serious. It was blend that can be hard to do great.

It is. And I am genuinely not sure cancelling the 3rd season is good or bad. Because cancelling it make it end as a masterpiece. But continuing it would tell a lot more stories but there also a chance it will damage the legacy. But after all. It was great fun

Also I’m a tank nerd, and the tank Scooby-Doo drove was an almost perfect rendition of a M60A3TTS, which is a tank at about 10,000 made, still in US national guard and marines as well as reserve units. It’s one of my favorite tanks ever made, so it’s neat too see. Although the hatch design was off, I can over look that.

IIRC the ending of the game was a different non-spoiler ending, and the code gave it the real movie ending - could be wrong on that through.

This was my favorite Scooby doo incarnation because it was darker and had amazing new supporting characters, and it didn’t follow the old formula some times and would focus on the end of the world which was to me the best part of the show A 10/10 series This show makes Velma look like it was written and directed by a 4 year old

i'm pretty young, born in the early 2000's, and this is mostly the version of scooby-doo i grew up with (aside from the weird, overly sexual live-action ones). I never had enough heart as a kid to watch it, so i just re-watched the first few seasons a few times, because i really did like the story and the animation and the characters and all. Re-watching and finishing Mystery INC. in my teenage years has and always will send chills down my spine. I still love the art style, even after years of advancements in both 2D and 3D animation. It's one of if not my favorite art style any show i've ever seen has. as a lover of gravity falls as well, it really appeals to that side of me that loves deep lore and mystery, as well as simple but at the same time stunning animation and lighting. i've always found 2D more compelling than 3D. no matter how much it advances and has advanced, it seems like i always come crawling back to this show to describe my favorite style and era of animation. i'll stop sharing my thoughts now, as my dyslexia is really making my pinky hurt from hitting the backspace so much. thank you for this video. now i know more reasons why i loved and still love Mystery INC. so much haha.

Mystery Incorporated. Aka. The best version Not Obnoxious, but not so edgy that it's impossible to watch without cringing, Pretty cool ngl. Unlike the new one, Has a pretty cool way of adding "real" monsters. And y'know, more cinematic.

I think out of all the tv interactions, this one is the most darkest and complex of them all and that’s the reason why I love it . It didn’t play down to its audience and wasn’t afraid to be risky with its storyline. Like they literally killed a whole bunch of ppl off to prove that this isn’t your typical cookie cutter Scooby rendition.
