From dealing with the injuries to Jamal Murray and Micheal Porter Jr. Having the entire NBA world say that Joel Embiid is better than him, and being the underdog in almost every series like the Phoenix Suns with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, and the Los Angeles Lakers with Anthony Davis and Lebron James. This is how Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets proved the NBA Wrong!

That's quite a task, would not expect you to investigate, lol, but if u can. This is crazy, in advanced stats Jokic is above Draymond Green in defense and lose only to Embiid (by a small margin), Anthony Davis and Brook Lopez on the offense he is a long way from everyone else, his total points in Raptor Wars is 25.9 and second place is Embiid with 14.2, Jokic is 11.7 points above Embiid, the same difference between Embiid (2) and the 140th player in that list (Terance Mann)

Just “pnr jokic to death” was literally EVERY TEAMS game plan. nuggets and the Nuggets made everyone look stupid. It didn’t work from Minnesota, suns tried it anyway- failed, lakers thought it’ll work, failed. Miami thought “we can do it” - failed. People talk about “easiest path ever.” Well if 4 teams didn’t try to do the exact same thing over and over, maybe the Nuggets wouldn’t be champions right now.

@@novasideias531Jokic Defense is underrated, people think he is bad at D because he doesn’t have flashy blocks. Yet if you watch him, you will know that he is amazing at contesting shots, positioning his feet and poking balls away. He can predict where passes come from and leads to so many deflections with his hands or feet.

Ironically, both embiid, and, to a lesser extent, Giannis we’re both targeted on defense with their poor iso perimeter defense playing a very heavy role in their losses despite embiid and giannis supposedly being better because of their defense.

Not only did the Kendrick Perkins race argument affect and essentially ruin the MVP race-it also affected NCAA hoops. There was a hypersensitivity about race in sports and then Angel Reese taunts to Caitlyn Clark and when people don’t like it? Boom it’s because they’re racist. And for a portion of it, they were actually right. But with the MVP race they couldn’t have been more wrong.

I'm sorry to say this but with the way the game has evolved so far and is evolving. Nobody in 20 years from now is going to look at Nash and come to the conclusion that he didn't deserve those MVPs. The game is valuing spacing and passing way more than isolations scoring, you literally have to take the offensive load of MJ during the 80s and be as efficient as he was in the 90s over your whole career if you even want to make it to the finals primarily as a scoring guard in the 2020s. People in 10 years aren't going to notice how "nice" Kobe scoring was, they are going to notice how he kept missing open layup passes 4 different times when average passers in the 2033 NBA are making them. Optimizing offensive load by supplementing passing or ball movement, in general, is the way of the future for NBA offenses. Unless we get a scorer, better than MJ and almost Hakeem levels of defense.

@@Alvini_Linguine not a chance, no, the KD trade made them better, 100%. the only reason they had a chance was god got bored and reached for his 2k controller to play devin booker for awhile 2021 pfffft no doesnt even count. denver started guys who shouldnt even have come off the bench in a real contending team - facundo compazzo and austin rivers, mpj was banged up, leading to back surgery soon after, the bench was even worse tha the bad starters denver shouldnt even have been in the 2nd round with that squad, and jokic spent the next 2 years becoming an elite pnr defender plus in 2023 they had the pieces to defend suns offense lakers actually gave the nuggets a harder time than the suns
